From a European perspective, Harrington said it wouldn't be worth going ahead without fans present. Can kind of see that point of view, normal events not so critical but the Ryder Cup would be soul-less without the fans IMO.

There will be no Pro-Am's in the first four tournaments. Giant money maker lost for the clubs. Colonial has a Monday and Wednesday.

There will not be any standard bearers plus a few more committees. Caddies will wear bibs, player count at Colonial has been raised to 144 verses the invitational count of 120.

There will be ropes but Marshal count will be reduced as many other committees. I have read where Players are concerned about lost balls when they spray it, no fans to hit.

Actually a really valid point from a betting perspective, no spectators and presumably no stands to protect the players who overshoot greens - perhaps a little more emphasis on accuracy from tee-to-green when it comes to picking players.
