So yesterday I'm on the road in NH/ME doing my thing and listing to "Rome" on ESPN Radio.....It's early afternoon and my son is about ready to get out of school and drive to Golf Practice so I wanted to reach out to him and have a plan on who was going to be done in time to pick up my wife from work.....
I'm stopped at a light and I quickly grab my phone, slide through my contacts and click on the name of my son "Trevor" and shoot a quick Text "call me" this is about 2 pm est....He has practice at 2:45 and he knows not to use his phone while he's driving, so I figure he has plenty of time to get back in touch....So 2:15 no call, 2:30 no call, 2:45 no call.....Dads getting a little pissed as I'm still 2.5-3 hours away from home and no plan in place to pick up my wife....
So about 3:30 my phone goes off and on the screen my son "Trevor" name pops up.....Voice on the other end says "hey, what's up".....This is definitely not Trevor on the other end.... I'm thinking my son has either left his phone in the Club House or at school.....So I'm trying to drive on I95 in heavy traffic and figure out what's going on...So I say "how's it going" and the person start chatting with this heavy Southern accent.....So I'm listening and finally say "who is this?" the person on the other end say "Josh".....So I'm think ok, Josh from the school, Josh from the Golf Team but nothing is registering.....
This guy keeps on chatting and finally I say "who is this?" again....The reply again "it's Josh", and I say Josh who?....He says "Josh from Texas!!!"...I busted out laughing.....Some how when I put our own "JoshNaudi" phone number into my contacts list it went under my son Trevor's name as a secondary number and Josh received my Text and not my son....
Josh being the great guy he is, saw my Text of "call me" took the time out of his busy work day and mins before a big meeting for him to reach out and call me to see what was up.....I'm still laughing about this today Josh, thanks again for reaching out and we'll chat again soon!!!
