Saw movie for 1st time last night and brought back memories of some high school sports feats that were truely against all odds. One I remember vaguely was basketball team in Illinois many years ago before they had class divisions which means small schools had to play bigscools from Chicago and the likes on equa terms.A team call Cobton Appleknockers from a very small rural area when to state finals before losing championship game.
Another is one I vividly remember because we played against them every year in Mo where I was raised.Very small 2a school by name of Valle out of St Genevive Mo with a senior class of less than 150 students not only went undefeated that year playing all 3a and 4a competition but unbelievably went unscored on entire year.

Just saw a movie last night also. Not sports related, although during the height of the Roman Empire, gladiators were like sports figures today. Gladiator is a great movie.
Haven't seen The Titans yet.

Bluegrass!
To this day, Hoosiers is still an all time classic. I also saw Gladiator & Remember The Titans which were both pretty solid.

Has anyone caught Traffic or Blow? I've been aiming to get out to the theatre to check 'em out, but have never quite found the time...AND if ya seen 'em both, which one was your favorite??

Traffic is the choice over Blow hands down. Depp is really good in Blow but not much screen time for Penelope Cruz, though she didn't really add too much. . Several story lines going on in Traffic. Benicio del Toro was fabulous.

I agree with rrc that Traffic is a better show than Blow. Although Blow did have its moments, the better overall movie was traffic.
Watch for Pee Wee Herman in Blow....
The real picture of the drug dealer that Blow is based on will stop and make you think.......
