NCAA BASKETBALL:
Saturday:
LOUISVILLE (#4)
6:05 PM CBS
ILLINOIS (#1)
Both teams are coming off emotional overtime victories. Both teams rely heavily on their starters. Both teams shoot well from anywhere on the court. Both teams protect the ball. Illinois must take advantage of its slight size advantage in the paint. Louisville needs to mix up its defenses, switching from the 2-3 zone to a full-court, trapping, man-to-man to confuse Illinois' offense, especially if the Illini hit a couple of 3-pointers early in the game. These two teams are so evenly matched, this game will probably come down to which team is the shooting the best at the end of the game. Don't expect this game to be any less exciting than either of the participants' Elite Eight games were Saturday.
MICHIGAN ST. (#5)
8:45 PM CBS
NORTH CAROLINA (#1)
If North Carolina plays like it did against Villanova, it won't beat the Spartans. Michigan State needs to get out and play its up-tempo, transition game to have a chance. North Carolina won't mind playing an up-tempo style either. Keep an eye on the matchup between North Carolina's Sean May and Michigan State's Paul Davis. Both have been dominant in the paint for their respective teams. Another one-on-one matchup to watch is North Carolina's Rashad McCants and Maurice Ager. Both shoot more than 48 percent from the field and 40 percent from 3-point range. Ager is a slightly better rebounder, but McCants is a better passer.
Monday:
Will the NCAA Championship game come down to two Big-10 teams? Will North Carolina take the championship back to ?Tobacco Road?? Will Rick Pitino win it all with a new team in Louisville? Find out for sure Monday night at 8:35pm on CBS!
NBA:
Sunday
MAVERICKS (48-23)
3:30 PM ABC
CAVALIERS (37-32)
No NCAA hoops, no problem! The NBA was kind enough to schedule a full days worth of basketball while we wait for the championship game. The ?Mavs? and the ?Cavs? pit Dirk Nowitzki (26.6ppg) against LeBron James (26.3ppg), in one of the most exciting matchups in the NBA!
T?WOLVES (37-34)
3:35 PM ABC
KINGS (44-29)
Who would have thought at the beginning of the season that the Timberwolves would be desperately scrambling for the eighth spot in the Western Conference playoffs? Well they are, and Kevin Garnet (22.3ppg) and company will need to win this one against a very well balanced Kings team featuring Peja Stojacovic (20ppg) , Mike Bibby (19.5ppg), Cuttino Mobley (18.3ppg) and Brad Miller (15.6ppg 9.3reb).
76ERS (35-36)
1:00 PM ABC
CELTICS (38-33)
The 76ers, while sporting a losing record would actually be in the playoffs if they started today and are always dangerous as long as the have the league?s leading scorer Allen Iverson (30.4ppg)! Antoine Walker (19.9ppg) has rejoined Paul Pierce (21.5ppg) and the Celtics. Ironically they are actually in first place in the Atlantic division. My guess is Walker never knew how good he had it in Boston until he spent some time with the Hawks.

TRIVIA ANSWER:
D) Lawrence Moten.
This was tough question and if you answered correctly you are in the vast minority as there were actually two tricky factors. First Chris Webber is infamous for his attempt to call time out, but that was not the game in question. Secondly, Billy Sims was incorrectly named by the announcers as the culprit of this error, when in actuality it was the normally cool headed Lawrence Moten.
