Lowe's are OK, but I prefer Home Depot. Maybe it's just around here, but the staff seems friendlier at Home Depot, more helpful and better prices as well.

Just 2 weeks ago we had them rip out our carpet and put down bamboo flooring in the LR, DR, foyer, and hallway.

Now, I guess I'll have them install a new hot water heater. :facepalm:

I put in complete new toilet guts 2 weeks ago upstairs and down ........that's the end of me crawling on the ground .

hips are done for........gotta make a decision and really don't want to have it done

I'm going to do the toilet guts in the master bath this week. I've actually done that before. Hell, in my younger days I did a lot of things I don't mess with any more.

I just found out yesterday I have frozen shoulder syndrome. I got a cortisone shot and have to go to rehab for 6 weeks to see if I get any improvement. Golf is out, and hopefully I never need to be handcuffed because I can't get my arm behind my back on the left side without immense pain. Putting my belt on is difficult as well. getting old, oh boy.

hopefully the rehab will help ...joint pain sucks.......almost as much as not being able to do all those harder "fix it chores" around the house.

Had to get Joey Lopez over here to fix shingle damage from the "Canes" that I could not do myself.

Great guy...replaced about 30 shingles for me.... I refer work to him because he does AAAAA work.

Last thing he says..."Call me me If ya need me."

I believe Morris is back slinging the hammer ..and he one of those super fix it guys that can gut a whole damn room and put back new everything.......now that is a neighbor to have there.

Interesting. I have always seemed to be in markets where u had the choice of HD or Lowe?s and I always preferred HD. Lowe?s has a stale feel that I just don?t like, kind of like Super Kmart and Walmart.

HD is about 40 minutes north and south of me so not convenient. We have Menards and Lowe?s locally and I use both about the same.
