Above the Clouds....
My current truck is a F150 and after looking at the GMC and Chevy I'm leaning toward the Ford.
Just has a cleaner look. Plenty of time to decide.

Don?t buy a Ford unless you LOVE it when your stupid ass engine shuts off at every stoplight. (A brand new gas saving feature in most Ford trucks) :0003

Also, I was thinking that maybe you should consider test driving them.......

If you go with a Ford and plan on doing any towing you should consider getting the 3.5L V6 EcoBoost option. My brother has had a ton of trucks including a denali with the 420hp V8. Said that Ford Motor is the best pulling motor he has owned. I have been looking at a new truck as well and like the GMC SLT 4WD. Some good deals on them right now. Will either get the GMC or another Ford Lariat when I pull the trigger. If you do not like the stop start feature on the ford you can permanently disable with a 10 dollar part or do it through the software. Ford has more cab space.

The auto engine stop-start feature can be easily disabled, in Ford trucks, by clicking the on/off switch they have for it on the dash. But is a bit annoying to have to click this every time you start your truck.....GM is adding the stop-start to some 2019 model truck engines, and all will have it in a few years - but they will include disable switches on the dash too.

Morris, do you haul or tow much with the truck?...If you haul occasional heavy stuff, or towing over 25% of the time something over 10K pounds, I'd definitely go for the F-250. A bit more expensive, bit more in gas, and bit less car-easy to drive -- but much more capable and comfortable when towing.

after a while you don't even notice that auto turn off/on system. search truck forums how they like it and how it works and if it's annoyance with bigger engine.

The stop start feature is like driving a gas powered golf cart.
I've heard that on the new 2018 /2019 GM vehicles there is no way to disable / bypass the feature. Not sure if this is only on passenger vehicles or if it includes trucks as well.
