Princeton, once again the Ivy League favorite is getting 11 points against a Cal team that is the sixth best team in the Pac 10 at best and lost their best player from last year. The game is in Berkley, but considering Princeton's slow-it-down style and how serious they take games against power conference teams, I gotta think this is gonna be close. Tigers +11.

I'm laying off this one.
California did lose all-star Sean Lampley and his 19.5 ppg but they return the other four starters.
Unfortunately it looks like Cal won't have Julian Sensley this season (lost acadamic appeal) but Amit Tamir (played with foreign pros) will be eligible at the start of PAC 10 play. Jamal Sampson has a bad ankle but it's about 75% and he should play vs Princeton tonite.
I think Princeton will be overwhelmed by California inside. California has good guards who should be able to handle the Princeton pressure defense.
I'll take #6 in the PAC 10 over the #1 Ivy any day.

I'll go a step further than superbook:
Give me the worst team in the Pac 10 and they certainly have a chance against the IVY league champion. . . especially if the Pac 10 team is playing at home!

Not trying to compare Pac 10 and Ivy League. But as mentioned, Cal has issues to open the season and I'm just leaning toward a Princeton team that will A. Not be intimidated by a power conf team and B. Plays the perfect style to offset teams with much better athletes.
