melanie phillips...

""Barack Obama appears to sit on a nexus between Marxist revolutionary activists, unrepentant former terrorists, Black Power racists, Chicago mobsters ? oh, and a Saudi who is trying to buy up America. If you were to turn up at US immigration control with a background of such associates, it?s a fair bet they wouldn?t let you off the air-bridge. Yet this man may well become President of the US! If any other candidate had had merely a fleeting relationship with William Ayers, his candidacy would have been terminated before it was even articulated ? let alone what we now know about Obama?s key role in Ayers?s CAC and its funding of radical groups; let alone the fact that Obama had been mentored during his formative years by a Communist Party plant; let alone his work for organisations modelled on the seditious philosophy of Saul Alinsky; let alone his two-decade membership of a Black Power church; let alone his relationship with fraudster Tony Rezko.

And yet despite all of this, virtually no-one in the mainstream media is asking any questions. Has there ever been a more staggering, surreal and scary race to the White House?""

the cloward/piven strategy...

"The Strategy was first elucidated in the May 2, 1966 issue of The Nation magazine by a pair of radical socialist Columbia University professors, Richard Andrew Cloward and Frances Fox Piven. David Horowitz summarizes it as:

The strategy of forcing political change through orchestrated crisis. The "Cloward-Piven Strategy" seeks to hasten the fall of capitalism by overloading the government bureaucracy with a flood of impossible demands, thus pushing society into crisis and economic collapse.

Cloward and Piven were inspired by radical organizer Saul Alinsky:

"Make the enemy live up to their (sic) own book of rules," Alinsky wrote in his 1989 book Rules for Radicals. When pressed to honor every word of every law and statute, every Judeo-Christian moral tenet, and every implicit promise of the liberal social contract, human agencies inevitably fall short. The system's failure to "live up" to its rule book can then be used to discredit it altogether, and to replace the capitalist "rule book" with a socialist one. (Courtesy Discover the Networks.org)

Their strategy to create political, financial, and social chaos that would result in revolution blended Alinsky concepts with their more aggressive efforts at bringing about a change in U.S. government. To achieve their revolutionary change, Cloward and Piven sought to use a cadre of aggressive organizers assisted by friendly news media to force a re-distribution of the nation's wealth.

In their Nation article, Cloward and Piven were specific about the kind of "crisis" they were trying to create:

By crisis, we mean a publicly visible disruption in some institutional sphere. Crisis can occur spontaneously (e.g., riots) or as the intended result of tactics of demonstration and protest which either generate institutional disruption or bring unrecognized disruption to public attention.

No matter where the strategy is implemented, it shares the following features:

1. The offensive organizes previously unorganized groups eligible for government benefits but not currently receiving all they can.
2. The offensive seeks to identify new beneficiaries and/or create new benefits.
3. The overarching aim is always to impose new stresses on target systems, with the ultimate goal of forcing their collapse.""

much like the dems using litigation, cries of racism and political power to cow any restrictions on fannie mae/freddie mac?......

Since you are evidently giving so much credence and importance on the "connections" of Obama to these people, do you give the same credence to the The Project for a New American Century group, which has established such an impressive list of positions and has taken such important actions over the past decade or so? Or is all that just a bunch of moonbat conspiracy stuff, since it doesn't include Obama?

And seriously, considering everything we have seen from the players involved in that scenario, THIS is what REALLY concerns you?

Welcome to the new America, indeed.

and that was the absolute truth..was it not?.....

the article was in part to expose the double standard of the media...they wouldn`t touch the edwards story with a 10 foot pole...and he was running for president...

and btw,.i don`t recall posting any b.j. comments or bullshit about his children...

when you posted it he was not running for president and your source was the same as this one. But whatever.

when the story was first posted by "the enquirer",he WAS running for president....

that`s the point...

relax..this election is a done deal...it`s over...history...the republicans are rolling over as we speak....

they aren`t replying to democrat spin on the economy issue...there should be videos of frank and the rest castigating republicans in congress and blocking any regulation by republicans back in 2003 and 2005...

as a matter of fact, youtube removed that video...

they aren`t discussing all obama`s shady "associates".....

with the media this far in the tank, the sheeple will follow their lead...

i give the libs in this forum(those that aren`t in the gutter)credit for at least taking an interest...

but, truth is,the majority of folks just don`t care...they want "hope and change"..

the interesting part will come when obama tries to implement all these social programs on the backs of all these bailouts(housing, wall st,credit cards, car loans, student loans)..........

if he`s really "the one",well find out pretty quickly...

and btw, they`ve basically just sewn up ohio....http://ap.google.com/article/ALeqM5gmJpgsrR27lwSUQ24_WSSrU0W-JwD93GUI9G1

they`ll hqave every moonbat student on "the bus" registering and voting a month in advance...

THIS....is why the liberal media wanted mclame to win the republican primary..thsi is why they endorsed him as the nominee....they knew he`d fold like a deck of cards...run a ridiculous campaign....

wait till you see the debate thursday...it will be a bloodbath....gwen eiffel?.......

lord, tim russert where are you when we need you?

Yesterday evening, activiists were registering students in front of the Hillman Library at the University of Pittsburgh.

Saw it with my own eyes.

done...finito....fait accompli....nobody`s talking about obama`s ties to ACORN?....

it`s amazing how the republicans have gone ass-up....

and now they`re using missouri law enforcement to intimidate dissenting opinion...

""JEFFERSON CITY - Gov. Matt Blunt today issued the following statement on news reports that have exposed plans by U.S. Senator Barack Obama to use Missouri law enforcement to threaten and intimidate his critics.

?St. Louis County Circuit Attorney Bob McCulloch, St. Louis City Circuit Attorney Jennifer Joyce, Jefferson County Sheriff Glenn Boyer, and Obama and the leader of his Missouri campaign Senator Claire McCaskill have attached the stench of police state tactics to the Obama-Biden campaign.

?What Senator Obama and his helpers are doing is scandalous beyond words, the party that claims to be the party of Thomas Jefferson is abusing the justice system and offices of public trust to silence political criticism with threats of prosecution and criminal punishment.

?This abuse of the law for intimidation insults the most sacred principles and ideals of Jefferson. I can think of nothing more offensive to Jefferson?s thinking than using the power of the state to deprive Americans of their civil rights. The only conceivable purpose of Messrs. McCulloch, Obama and the others is to frighten people away from expressing themselves, to chill free and open debate, to suppress support and donations to conservative organizations targeted by this anti-civil rights, to strangle criticism of Mr. Obama, to suppress ads about his support of higher taxes, and to choke out criticism on television, radio, the Internet, blogs, e-mail and daily conversation about the election.

?Barack Obama needs to grow up. Leftist blogs and others in the press constantly say false things about me and my family. Usually, we ignore false and scurrilous accusations because the purveyors have no credibility. When necessary, we refute them. Enlisting Missouri law enforcement to intimidate people and kill free debate is reminiscent of the Sedition Acts - not a free society.?""

government employees...and they are unabashedly threatening only mccain supporters?.....:nooo: ...in america?

it`s done...probably for a verry, verry long time....or at least until the dems run it into the ground ala carter...but even then, there are so many kids being indoctinated in our schools(as we saw in my other panel) and through the media...through moonbat parents and flooding over the border....that i think this will be,for all intents and purposes a one party state...

the republican party is done...until the dems ruin everything...

what average, populist person would ever consider running for office as a republican given the level of vitriol that the media has leveled at palin?...

you`d have to be a masochist...

We need to go back to when the Dems were tearing each other apart to get back to the happy weasel. It's a tough time for him right now - be kind

you know i`d be kind if the circumstances were reversed...

don`t you recall when smurph and i argued about whether an article was or wasn`t on the front page of the nyt`s?....

i didn`t rub it in...i was utterly magnanimous and actually lauded him for his honesty....

try and remember my generosity as the days get longer for me...

in the words of the late/great paul newman:.." "just as things look their darkest, they go black."...

(and i think it will be a while before they go back)...

Gary:

Based on your logic, the affiliation theory is a primary concern for you. Did you subscribe to the same concerns in 2000 when the Bush affiliations with the bin Laden family and Jesus Christ were made public? At least Obama affiliates with Americans and living people not terrorists families and dead gods.

Okay, then, let's start with a base link to Wikipedia, which will give you an overview of this organization, and the people involved. I assume, for arguments sake, you really don't know of this group - and if not - then it might be worth a few minutes to look at the group, and why it could be a bit concerning to some of us...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Project_for_the_New_American_Century

Interesting, when pressed, we now have two pretty staunch defenders here of the conservative agenda and players that somehow don't know about the New American Century Group - and who Prescott Bush is (DTB). One could almost call that ironic, especially since you guys are pretty outspoken on others avoiding issues?

I know why they would be things to avoid talking about, but you guys usually step up. Have at it...
