Plus, the whistle had likely blown for an offside or foul, so there was no risk.

Not a big soccer fan but the first two clips blew me away. Risky or not that takes some supreme athletic ability.

The first clip is Rene Higuita, the Colombian goalie playing in an International (friendly) vs England about 15 years ago.

The whistle hadn't gone, it was in play!!

It is called a 'Scorpion kick' and is apparently his party piece! After it happened England played with about 8 men for a couple of minutes, as 3 of the players were stood around laughing and pointing!

Higuita got himself into a bit of a mess over his links with the Columbian Cartels in later life + then failed a drug test...
