They've had many around here for years. I'm near the Mississippi River and several locks and dams that keep the river free of ice in the winters. Many bald eagles spend the winter in the area for this reason.
Not unusual to see dozens of bald eagles in a small area of trees on the riverbank.
Did you know a full grown man can lie down in a eagles nest? :scared:

The Hanover PA Cam I watch had two eggs. One hatched and the eaglet survived for a few days and then died. The second egg has yet to hatch.
Love these things. The other one in Iowa I like is the Decorah Cam. We have a pair I have seen the nest at Berry College, there is a cam there too online.
They just posted an update saying the parents haven't been sitting on the second egg so they are pretty sure they have given up.
