Last year I pointed out that going over on a 200 line was taking the worst of it and hopeing for the best. The new rules were going to make for higher scores or so I heard, but my reasoning is not based on rules, it's based on pure logic. One star having a bad shooting night or a bad shooting quarter for either team will pretty well blow a 200 line. This year, the under when the line is 200 or more is a healthy 17-7. I'll say it again this year, if you can't play the under, don't play the over. The teams playing today are 15-4 under.

Great info GSP... The LAKERS and CLIPPERS may very well go over if EVERYONE is hitting, but I think you'll see JACKSON having the LAKERS concentrate on DEF and not get into a run-n-gun game with the young Clippers. He does NOT want to give them any more confidence than they already have, and the best way to do that is shut down a team.

This game should have some high scoring spurts, but unless it goes OT, I don't see this game hitting 195. FH may very well be an OVER play, as both teams will come out firing I feel, but after HT, PHIL will have his troops clamping down and winning with D.

Also, CLIPS are a good FT shooting team, but have weak spots in Miles, Odom, and the Candy Man, and the LAKERS have SHAQ, so missed opportunities late can kill an OVER play also... I could definitely see a HT score of 56-49 with the LAKERS winning, and a final of 101-94 or something close to that. With the injuries the CLIPS have, I'm not sure if they'll be able to hang with the LAKERS, but I wouldn't bet against it either!

UNDER is looking like the way to go!

Excellent thought, I was thinking about that a few days ago after I lost my 3rd over 200 for the year. Hope the trend continues

I need to make this clear. I'm not playing the LAC total tonight because everything I've got says it should go over. I'm not betting into almost 80% odds. There will be another time.

this is exactly why NBA is the hardest to cap. these guys play so many games they dont give a shit half of the time. you never know when a hot shot star will take the night off.

You come up with some great stuff. Glad you are on this board. I can honestly say I have never played an 200+. It never has made sense: too many things have to happen. You ave added imperical data to what was previously just a thought.

thanks,
Bill
