sometimes i think that teddy atlas is punch drunk,cause this ref not only sucks,he appears to be in the tank for lacy....


he`s getting every break..atlas says this ref is one of the best?...

the guys afraid to put his hands on the fighters...

horrible reffing job...that tackle changed the fight...a blatant foul...

and putting the mouthpiece in when lacy was obviously hurt?....

what looked like a possible +500 winner is going bye-bye....

bad beat...

to be fair, mendoza was hitting him in the head all night long, so im not upset about lacy not being deducted a point. notice mendoza tried to pull a lorenzo and get lacy dq'd for the tackle, which would have been arguably fair.

even though this went 10,they surely tried to end it early.....

it really was a dramatic,edge of your seat fight...

i`m pissed about that tackle and that ref,but,it was well worth the little lottery wager on mendoza...

I just seen this thread. Probably couldn't see it due to my bloodshot eyes from crying.

Lacy wins a majority decision in a travesty of a fight.

Mendoza had him out on his feet in round 2. He was doing a drunk dance all over the ring but Mendoza missed his punches on the follow up.

He then had Lacy hurt in round 6 and while he is moving back, the ref stops the fight to put Lacy's mouthpiece back in.

The biggest travesty was round 8. Mendoza had Lacy in huge trouble, staggering all over the place, so he just tackles Mendoza and falls on top of him cracking Medoza's head on the canvas. The ref had to give Mendoza a few minutes to recover and his opportunity to finish was gone as Lacy also had a few minutes to recover. The ref does not deduct points for the tackle. He does not even give Lacy a warning. The worst of it was Lacy admitted he was badly hurt and tackled Mendoza to buy himself time to recover.

The key thing worth mentionig is the most corrupt promoter of them all was backing lacy and that's why he got the decision- no iffs, ands, or butts. Golden Boy Promtions- That is one corrupt organization that fed the public some line of crap about changing boxing and it's been so clear for some time now that all they care about is lining their pockets $$$ and screwing over so many in the process, such as Jose Armando Santa Cruz who took at least 8 rounds from Casamayor.


Nothing better I'd like to see than Hopkins KTFO by Pavllik, (and Pavlik wants that KO.), and I can't picture Oscar taking on the winner of Cotto-Margarito. Margarito :grins: would hammer him and that's something else I'd love to see, but he'll probably take on someone at least 2 weight classes below like Paq.
