Since there is no thread for this week, I will start one...
So far no real predictiions from my part...
I'm looking for some feedback on a couple of this weekends fights
Lopez vs. Walker
I really dont understand, how Lopez can be a +500 favorite at some books against an unbeaten guy in Walker.
Lopez has lost a total of 12 fighs -mostly by ko.
Walker recently fought to a draw against Echolls,..and he took that fight on a few day notice...Walker with 12 kos in 18 figts looks like a decent puncher...fight is in the US, so there doesnt seem to be any homecooking involved as Walker is Amercian and Lopez Mexican..Walker weighed in at 157 lbs, so he seems to be in shape...
Jimenez vs. Perez
Judging by their records this looks like another very evenly matched fight. Jimenez, who is a 5-1 favorite has 5 losses to Perez' 3 -and Perez is the one who really fought some tough competition...
Perez fought against Castillo at 118 lbs, Jimenez has fought at a much lower weight, unfortunately, no weight is listed at boxrec for his last fights.
The site of the fight obviously favors Jimenez though...
Lopez vs. Gallardo
Gallardo a 5 to 1 underdog, has given a good account of himself in most of his losses. If he can make us of his boxing skills and his 2 inch height advantage, he might be able to outbox the favorite...!?
Graham has made Lopez a 2 to 1 favorite and calls hime a live dog.
