Saw that the Miami q.b. and Deion's kid are expected to be the top 2 q.b's in the draft. Neither looks like a first round pick no less a franchise q.b. to me. Am I wrong?

I would take Cam first , like him in the pocket, though Colorado o line is awful, so makes it hard to grade .

you are 100% correct. college football is all about the athletic qb now. primarily because you don't need to be terribly accurate or on time. problem is, when you get to the nfl, you need to be able to read a defense and deliver a timely accurate throw.

this is why qb play in the nfl is so awful now. and the reason why, despite, every new rule designed to help the offenses, scoring isn't up.

They’re both gonna suck. Cmon. You guys think these two are going to be elite qb’s in the league ?? lol. Gimme a break.

at least Caleb and ar are quick and fast. These two are slow af. Short. And wont even be able to see over the line. Scouts know nothing. Look how wrong they got it with bo nix. Dude has a cannon. He is accurate. He’s fast. And has high fb iq. All the shit these two clowns don’t have. Cam ward is way above sanders. If sanders wasn’t deions son. He would be another no name qb playing at East Carolina.

sanders is terrific, as long as he doesn't have to throw the ball beyond the line of scrimmage. a friend texted me tonight "sanders has the pocket presence of a high school freshman." yup, that about sums it up. the 23-yard sack was hilarious.

I've scouted mostly baseball since '83 and worked for the Bills helping them acquire a couple players named Rod Kush & Danny Fulton eons ago. I've gone to combines, worked for BLESTO a scouting combine, I've watched a ton of football. To me, Shedeur has a good touch as a QB however moving up the ranks to the NFL he's gonna get squished!! He's indecisive in college so how's that going to translate in the NFL? Primetime can't help him there!! Cam Ward is a phyiscal player, his arm is better and he makes accurate throws, he's much like former V Tech QB who's played in the NFL forever it seems but he's never been more than a backup or 2nd division type QB in Tyrod Taylor, 14 years of service so far, so there is my comparison player to Cam Ward. Shedeur? No comp. What made Shedeur great in college is Travis Hunter. It's highly doubtful both will be drafted by the same NFL team and Hunter is going to have to weigh out what he thinks he can play without getting crushed in the NFL!! To me, he's a good WR much like CeeDee Lamb, as a DB, he can cover, but big backs and receivers are going to dragged his dairy-air through the ground, what he has is elite speed & quickness, so maybe he should just stick at WR like Deonta Smith?

This QB haul for 2024-25 is weak in my opinion, it's not even close to this past one with Penix, Daniels, Caleb "PUSSY" Williams, and Bo Nix had 6 years to become an NFL QB and he's adapted quickly to the NFL, also helps his father was a former SEC QB at Auburn back in the day. There is no one for me who compares or shows the type of talent as any of those 4 aforementioned QBs. Ward would be the closest for me, he's a bit taller and a lot stronger than Kyler Murray who's proven nothing in the NFL other than occasionally he can hit a WR and run for a few yards, he's got his dick knocked in the dirt many times and he should have stayed with the Oakland A's, but he had a lil trouble with the curve and probably would never had made the type of money the NFL got suckered into paying him!

My best bet for a QB in the NFL, there are two of them, Howard from Ohio State, he's a horse at 6'4 245 and decent accuracy and touch and lefty Dillon Gabriel who's much like Tua and we see how good and vulnerable Tua's been in the NFL with the Laughin's, errr., Dolphins.

Cool background Bill, I see sports are your life! Totally agree with your 2 qbs , as much as I have gotten on Will Howard, it was for his own good. I had to push him to higher heights, and now you see he is performing at a high level! Let's see if he can continue his run here and climb the ladder in the draft, but he has size, speed, arm , and seems to be a hard working good kid, he may blossom under the right NFL scenarios, just needs to keep his confidence intact! Dillon is remarkably accurate, throws a gorgeous pass! But size scares me.
