this thread is for help for future purposes......

the way i see it, the UNDER was the correct call in the GS/Memphis game and the GS was a slightly better play.....looked like they shouldda put the game away and played better pretty much the whole way except for a stretch to begin the 2nd half......missed a lot of free throws at the end to which almost allowed the back door.....but then again i saw Memphis missed some shots so it evened out.....I see Randercity commented on the game being poorly played and that GS had the better performance in the 1st half.....must have been one of those games we all too often see these days which makes Naismith roll over in his grave.

The Utah/Orlando game looked like a solid UNDER for most of the night until the 4th quarter.....gotta think that this was either an abberation -- or that the Magic wore out and the defense got bad......the UTAH pick was the correct one in this game and i guess it is hard to know if the over or under unless one saw what was going on in the 4th.......

anyways guys....lets hear some comments from those who saw the games......thanks!!!!!

All I got to say is the UTAH game sucked! Losing the FH cover with UTAH -1.5 due to a blown call was bad enough, but then I lose TWO TEASERS by another hook when they score 65 pts in the FOURTH??? Man, give me a break.

I left for bowling, so I didn't know til I got home, but yes, I thought my teasers with the UTAH total were pretty safe at 202.5, as long as it didn't go OT. I mean, 138 after 3 was looking good. (One of my offshores gives 5 pt EVEN money two team teasers, so I tend to tease BASKETS with them. They offer 5 at even, 5.5 at -110, and 6 at -120) So I teased G STATE to UNDER. UTAH to UNDER. And after seeing JT SNEAKS post, I went with a MEMPHIS and JAZZ UNDER teaser. I end up losing two out of 3 of those, and when I left they looked golden.

I truly believe that MEMPHIS is a go against team in most games til they get DICKERSON back and Nick Anderson up to speed. Til then, they have no semblance of unity on offense. Golden State is looking like a decent team, they pound the boards and will give alot of teams fits because of that. ORL may be dragging next game after two tough losses and the high altitude, depends on how soon they have to play, and UTAH, well, I have no idea what to think of them. Maybe play em UNDER FH, when they try and control the tempo, and OVER 2H when apparently they forget all about DEFENSE, and try and run with the young guys. I'm staying away from the JAZZ for now I think...

BTW... I bowled a great first game, took 2nd place money in the side pot, then watched in HORROR as they over-rule the TENN TD which screwed my TENN +3.5 I bought, and my TENN OVER teaser. Try and concentrate on bowling when they have the game on TV right above your lanes, and the TD that's called off is over a six unit difference on your bankroll. I was sick... bowled almost 100 pins less that game, my team loses by 3 pins in the last frame, and I STILL HAVE to bowl another game. Since we were bowling, the volume wasn't turned on, so I couldn't hear, all I could see was the score showing 16 all, and I was ready to buy a round!

Much to my dismay, they over-rule it, TENN tries the sneak, stupid call, and luckily for me, the waitress was slow in getting to us!

All was not lost though... my HT play on the OVER made up a lot of loss, and I somehow regrouped to bowl a GREAT last game and won the SUPER SIDEPOT for $430!!

And because it's the last league of the nite, we get done around 11:30 PST, and they can't pay out til everyone's finished, I didn't even have to buy a round since everyone had left!

I know this doesn't help much, but my wife's asleep as are most "normal" people, so I got to vent somewhere! Thanks for listening...

Just read the RECAP on UTAH game... get this:

Malone capped the run by making the first of two free throws with 6:17 left to give the Jazz an 86-73 advantage.

You mean to tell me they scored 44 points in the last 6:17??? Unreal!

There were 69 FT attempts in this game, 50 pts scored from the line! Both teams must have gone into the penalty early and they just paraded to the line in the fourth. Someone who watched this game, please clue us all in... I'm curious now!

I had just returned from a business meeting mid way through the third quarter. Since I could not find the game on TV, I was stuck watching the score via the internet. As Randercity stated, I also thought that the score would be well below the Under. My two team teaser looked very safe sitting at 202.

My only consession is that I placed a very small wager on it.

Did anybody actually watch the game? What caused the explosion of points?

I really don't think you'll ever see Nick Anderson "up to speed" again. This guy has lost all confidence and now is just a spot up shooter from three who can't even shoot all that well. He thinks he is open a lot and will hoist up anything from beyond the arc. I agree that Memphis is a good go against team until Dickerson returns.

GL tonite to all.

Rander(and others),
I was fortunate enough(or not!)to see the friggin' game. I had GS-5, under 197, UNDER 197 Utah, and Utah-3 for a large 3 team/4team. I made the mistake of putting the under "in the bank" with 6:00 to go. Magic s**t in some 3's. Couple steals by both sides, started fast breaking to beat hell, etc.! Oh, I can also think of at least 3 put backs on the offensive glass as well. Made me sick. Here I already had GS and the under, under "looked" like a lock on Utah(which gave me my 3 team)and then I had added Utah as a 4 team. Still dont know the definition of a "unit" but I had a HUGE swing the wrong way. Top that off with a little Titans+2.5(large "unit/s") and a 2 team tease, with Titans and over, and well, you figure out how I'm feeling today

Great site, hope I can survive long enough to benefit from it. Been at this crap for 20 years, ain't easy

I saw that game and couldn't believe it. I also had the under..... Both teams couldn't miss a shot and they were running up and down the court faster than freaking cheetahs and gazelles. 3's were being hoisted by Miller and Armstrong on Orlando and Malone got fouled at least 3 times in the final minute. No one missed a shot and the under was toast.....
