---Wandy has been great his last 6, even his last 2 on the road where he has been pretty grim. Kendrick has been poor at home, especially his last 2 at Citizens. Wandy's been good in days games...not the case for Kendrick. Looks much better than full 9 as 'stros pen is pretty grim, especially relieving Wandy lately.
---Carp has been himself lately. Former 2nd-rounder Zimmerman had Tommy John surgery about a year ago and we've been seeing a lot of people recover and perform very well in that situation lately; He had a good rookie season in '09--though sucked in one vs cards--and has been great in the minors this year, including his past 4 at AAA. Was thinking about the 8 at -115 but it was -126 and then -135 faster than I could count my AT&T under as a loss yesterday...now at 7.5 -110; 1st5 the only way to go as Zimmerman's minor league outtings have been short as this one should be, not to mention that the Nats pen has been performing poorly lately. Wind projected to be blowing in from left at 12mph.
---Not too sure about that last one as the Tigers have been hitting quite well and the Jays enjoy righties, especially at home. Still, Scherzer (will be his 1st vs) has been dynamite and tigs don't enjoy lefties as in years past. I don't trust either pen so going with the early, again. 17mph wind blowing in from left on the slim chance the roof will be open.
Almost tried min-Tex under but Lee, despite the twilight-zonish K-BB ratio, has been shit for 3 straight and 4 of last 5...lefties actually hitting him much better than righties, while Liriano has been crap in 2 of last 3...he does own lefties, however, and is keeping the ball in the park no matter who's at the dish. Also got a poor ump in Cousins going and the wind out to right.
Pass Brewers, too, as Gallardo shit vs in 2, crap in 4 of last 5 and he's better nights.
a's tempting...maybe with favorable line movement and a steal in Philly early.
