hi
Adding more doggies.....
Arizona +4.5 over California
Virginia +2.5 over Maryland
Boise st +14.5 over Hawaii
Reasons for my picks:
* I waited for people to hit California, in order to get the better line, glad I waited, it jumped from +3.5 to +4.5. How did I figure people would go for California??? Simple, this is a big game and they are at home, obviously people will want to jump on that, which makes sense. However, in what I think will be a game in which I feel Arizona will hang around to the end, that extra pt could be huge!!! Arizona has played one of the toughest schedules out there and they are familiar with playing in big games and big crowds by now and limit getting flustered. I'm relying on Jason Gardner's leadership and play to keep Zona in this one just in case they fall behind. Heck, they might win outright which a lot of dogs have been doing.
* I'm not waiting for the Virginia game line to move, I figure it's going to end up at 2, I don't think it will jump to 3 already, I could be wrong though. I'm expecting Virginia to play good defense and the crowd to spurt them into scoring runs to keep Maryland in check. Virginia playing Duke is a great preparation because after Duke, you won't be surprised by any team. Same with Wake Forest after playing Duke, Wake became a stronger team by that experience alone. What looks like a game that will go down to the wire in Virginia, give me the points!!
* Boise st at Hawaii.....damn, I should of jumped on this one when the line was +16!!! Hawaii has no business giving that much pts, I took it for granted and waited, I shouldn't have. I got it at +14.5 which is about right, but still a little too much points. I know Hawaii is great at home, but after just pulling off one of the biggest upsets in their school history against Tulsa, I look for them to come back home and play complacent during the game. I figure Hawaii is thinking they can beat anybody at home, especially a lame team like Boise st. I feel Boise st will want some kind of revenge and will play tough with a nothing to lose attitude, especially now that Hawaii is on top of the WAC. All the pressure is on Hawaii. Hawaii is not going to take chances like they do on the road cause they are expected to win at home, so they will play this game "not to lose" instead of playing it "to win" once they get the 8 to 10 pt lead. Hawaii, often, makes huge runs in a game, get the 10 pt lead, then play conservately, the other team comes back, then they go on another run, then again starts to play conservately, then the other team comes back again, and this vicious cycle will go on throughout the game. After a long road trip, I think Hawaii will become the lazy ones in paradise this time, instead of the other team.
Note:
* For the Arizona st pick. Stanford has been murdering teams at home this season, so we should jump on the Cardinals right??? Nah, that's what I might have did before, but it's gotta be a bigger mismatch than this for me to give a whopping 13+ pts. Arizona st is pretty darn good. They have played some stiff competition in their last 4 games, Oregon, Usc, Ucla and Arizona, which should prepare them to give Stanford a tough game. If Stanford is winning by 10 pts with 2 minutes left in the game, who would u be more comfortable with, having picked Stanford or Ariz st??? Yup.
