---any OPS or runs scored comments will be a day outdated (espn)
---I'm going to fade the Rox until they show a glimmer, even vs Jimenez--he's been shit in 4 of last 5 anywho, though he's 2-0 vs with a 1.61 era (in 4, no '10); Maholm poor vs in 6 (1-4/5.20), especially at Coors, but he's been pretty good on the road and is capable of tossing the odd gem...he can also go deep which might prevent a bullpen collapse as Ohlendorf was out quick after Tulowitzki lined one of his noggin' (he's apparently okay); Rox OPS last 7 days a measly .652, scoring barely over 2 per game, while pit was .712 scoring almost 5 per--a couple days ago this number for pit was way higher while Rox recent has lasted a while; just can't resist the price...gotta be the biggest + I've played this season; ump either Porter or Calrson who are both look pretty even; caveat: Rox are 31-18 at home including 11-6 vs L while pit is 7-28 on the road to R
---I've made with Bumgarner his last 3 so gonna try again...hit explosion by the G-men yesterday is encouraging...his 1st vs and last before his 21st birthday on Sunday; Sanchez was good in his only vs May 4th at home but he's not great on the road, particularly his last 5...a key might be his short outtings, what with the mediocre pen behind him; caveat: flor OPS .710 vs R and .755 vs L, and also 18-12 vs L (8-7 road)...also, wind should continue to blow out to center/left-center and the Fish clubbed 3 HR yesterday, all by righties to left or left center...on top of that, Sanchez has only allowed 5 in 115 IP while Bumgarner has allowed 5 in 40; ump Barksdale is even
---both Latos and Padilla are throwing great, lately, but Padilla is a bit of a head-case who seems due for a bad outting (just a hunch, obviously)...his road numbers are only so-so; lad OPS an MLB-worse .508 the past week, scoring under 2 runs/game (this counts the 6 games before yesterday, where they tallied the big uno); SD only .659 over that period (typical), but averaging over 4/game; dodgers have been grim and I've always thought that Torre was overrated as a manager, though the hitting coach obviously is overpaid; Pads 31-20 at home while lad is 22-26 on the road; caveat: while SD is 20-16 in the division, dodgers are 25-9, not to mention (again) Padilla being very good lately and great in his only start at Petco (who isn't great there?...wasn't '010) while Latos was bad in his only vs (also not '010); ump O'Nora leans under
this is overkill, today
Need a break to see if "The Game" (Michael Douglas/David Fincher flic) is worth watching.
