Dallas/NYI UNDER 5 even$ 2 units. Islanders have been on fire lately scoring 14 goals in their last 3 games for well over a 4 goal a game average. Dallas has scored 12 in their last 3 as well if you exclude their last game where they got shutout. Why not the over then......Well, the line looks low to me judging by recent performance. History dictates otherwise between these teams though. Just twice in the last 10 times they have played has a game gone over 5 goals. There has been a ton of high scoring games lately in the league and I'm hoping that trend will stop for tonight.
St. Louis Moneyline (-130) 3 units(max play). Vancouver has been like a well oiled machine coming into this game going 7-0-1 in their last 8 games. But St. Louis has been no slouch either winning 4 of their last 5. Both teams are solid and definitie contenders for their division. St. Louis has had a day to rest though for this home game, and Vancouver is coming off a tough game against Nashville last night where they squeaked by with a 4-3 victory. This is also a 3rd in 4 for Vancouver where St. Louis is only playing their 2nd game in 5 days. In what is two good teams I'll take the better rested home team. Looks for a good let down spot for Vancouver. Vancouver has covered the last 4 times these teams have met, but St. Louis covered the previous 6 before that.
Kings Moneyline +190 1 unit. In what was a disappointing homestand the kings took the road and suddenly woke up with a nice win over florida last night. I know its a back to back situation for the kings, but they had 3 days off before yesterdays affair. Although tampa is 5-1 at home this year, the kings are 3-1 on the road. I think there is a lot of value taking the kings at this price as they seem to be playing better hockey lately while tampa bay although good is slowly coming back to earth.
DDUBS....yes, the lakers look awesome. I wasn't sure if I would like Payton and Malone until I saw them on the court after so many years of hating them, especially Malone. But this truly is a dream team of sorts. I have little doubt that if they tried they can win 70 games. I know its only been 4 games, but they are so head and shoulders above the rest of the league its funny. Phil won't make a run at 70 though. Him and the team are more concerned with the ring and phil and the players will do nothing to jeopardize that though. I do think they will make a concerted effort at winning home court though. So many rumors about Kobe for McGrady floating around . Not sure if I would like that, but this team is truly fun to watch....
Good Luck to All
