Roger, your top five totals are killers, it's that 6th one that seems hard to get. Two nights in a row it kept you from being perfect. Now we have 5 days of NCAA. WTG

Awesome job again on totals Roger ... I almost never bet a total without checking what you took. I hate going against your top few and if I like them too ... I make them a stronger play. Thanks for posting them.

The number (1) has not only won this week, they've been easy! There's enough of my own plays to worry about. It's nice to have one in the bank every night. Thanks again Roger.

Was wondering on the fatigue angle.....teams that already play good team defense might be at their best after the layoff combined with some rust on the offensive end for everyone. Should we be looking for unders?

Roger, I did these very quick and without injuries taken into account. I don't expect to be off over 1' in either direction. We have one we are miles apart on. I also have my leans if my lines are close. Probably change everyone of them on gameday.

hawkeye...don't worry...I will! ;)

thanks rrc and steel city...great cappers in your own right!

nighthorse...rust and fatigue are two factors...but not as much as team matchups and coaching styles...part of which you mentioned in team defense...once you truly understand a coach's mentality/philosophy...capping totals gets easier...it's hard to know what coaches try to do...night in and night out...because it can and does change depending on the opponent...but some coaches are more clearer than others because of their track records...all factors are important and play a role in trying to cap totals...but sometimes it just comes down to luck and a few plays at the end...that's why it's called gambing...vegas doesn't try and set lines to influence or "trick" the public at all...they simply want a line that will get action both ways...they get paid either way...sure some lines look crazy when they come out...and others look even crazier after the game is over...but it's all related to stats and numbers...it's just up to you to make an educated call based on your knowledge and opinion...after saying all that...I would say yes tuesday should see more unders...based on the logic you mentioned...how can teams hit a high field goal % after being off for 4 days? I doubt many players will even pick up a BBall...and the majority of the "high" scorers in the league will be resting up after the all star game...it's sound reasoning for sure...but it's all relative until the actual lines come out! right?! :D

best of luck!

gsp...just saw your post...I'm missing the magic & lakers games...I was looking at the league pass shcedule...

I guess the bucks/bulls game was the one we are way off on...I hope it does come out at 189...that would be an under play for sure in my book...I just don't think the bulls get too many totals in the 180's much less high 180's...I'm looking forward to seeing what the lines do come as and what we decide on...I think we could really nail these totals in the 2nd half if we put our heads together more often! ;)

Roger, the lines on the last five Chi games have been 185 or above and with the public perception that Mil is a high scoring team, I look for close to 189.

the bucks are a high scoring team...at least they can be on a good night...who did the bulls play the last five...and what has the avg. been the last ten or 15...or even since bill cartwright took over? if the total comes out over 185...i would definitely take the under...

in this roger thread...

in this roger thread...

i want to initially thank you for all the "transparent" work that most go into your posts. "transparent" work that is accumulated at your own accord and put into account. as i will now thank gsp for similar work... its efforts like yours that make your threads so confident and your plays rewarding.

thanks fellas! keep up the great work!

FYI ... just some info on the Sixers from a Philly guy who follows them pretty close. They played pretty well before the break but they still have not been healthy. This team overall, when healthy, are better than last years team that made the finals. If they can get healthy and stay healthy for a stretch, they may be a good team to play on after the break. They play defense athough they were better last year simply because George Lynch was much better defensively than lazy ass Derrick Coleman. However, their bench is deeper this year with Claxton back from injury. Offensively, Harpring and Coleman obviously make them better as well. If McKie and Coleman are healthy after the break, they are going to make a run. Could even end up the #3 seed in the East. They will not catch the Nets cause the Nets are for real and Milwaukee will probably win the other division but the Sixers can play with anyone in the East including the Nets. Anyhow, just some info I hope will help in the future about the one team I follow.

Where you been.

Where you been.

Guys been on Rogers O/U from the start. You would be happy had you to. GSP when you and Rog agree it's douple time for me. It works out good for me that way. If you disagree. Well was with Rog last year to. So have to follow just one. If someone tries to jump in and out with a capper. You could loose big time. But I do see your totals are darn good to. Im just happy your both here. I try to have time to capp a few sides. I never have time for totals.
Thanks. And what a nice thread. Good to see no bitching. ;)

Guys: hope you all had a good first half of the season so far. I?m still on good numbers, but recently I just haven?t been able to get things done right. I sometimes post my plays, and hit everything, but the next day I go and do gamble, and things like the 80 point 4th quarter between Washington/Phoenix just kills you. But like Roger said, it?s gambling...

Hope I can bounce back, with the second half of the season.

Just wanted to say thanks, to all the guys in this thread, keep up the good work. And good luck to all.

amen to that djv! you've nailed a lot of winners this past year in your own right...thanks for the kind words...

you too cruncher...I appreciate the respect...and to flip the coin...your football # crunching has been spittin' out winners ever since......? :D

thanks for the info on the sixers nittany...that kind of "homegrown" feel for a team is valuable...if only you could bottle up all the valuables on any given night... btw...I totally agree on your take about philly...they definitely will be a team to be reckoned with in the east...they are the defending champions...one must not forget that...especially in the first round! ;) staying healthy is the key...

ninja...your warfare and tactics have been impressive ever since you started here...hope the 2nd half is even more rewarding for all of us...thanks for the mention on the transparent work...somedays a lot of time is put in to it...people would be surprised how long it really takes to cap a game the right way...some games are easier than others...as we all know! :) best of luck!
