Overall: 41-34
Sides: 27-26
Totals: 8-3
Half-times: 6-4
Teasers: 0-1
10*: 2-4
5*: 14-14
3*: 25-16

Minnesota -3.5 (10*)
Illinois/Minnesota Over 56 (10*)

I usually don't like to play the side an total on a particular game, but I think this is good spot for a split at the absolute worst. Thinking optimistically, I think there is a excellent chance both these plays cash-in. Minny has played a rather easy schedule thus far, tough loss at Purdue last week (who they always lose to), beat a decent Toledo squad, and besides that it's been cupcake city. They are a good offensive team...Abdul-Khaliq is a double-threat at QB, O-line is strong, and the Tapeh/Jackson RB duo is very good. Like all the decent teams Illinois has played this season, I think they are going to score a bunch of points on the Illini D. Mizzou, San Jose St, and Michigan had no problems at all with the Illinois D...the blitzing/gambling scheme that worked so well for them last year has worked the exact opposite so far..allowing too many big plays both passing and rushing. Since Beutjer has been at the helm at QB, Illinois offense has produced tons of yardage and points. I don't think Minny's D can shut them down entirely, but I think they will do a much better job containing Illinois offense as opposed to Illinois D trying to stop Minny's offense. Very hard for me to see Minny not scoring at least 30 (which would get a split regardless of the side outcome), looking for a 41-31 type game.

Good luck!

I am with you on the Illini game. The score from last week doesnt really show how Illinois played the game. They had four more turnovers which is where the large spread in points came from. Illinois had 543 total yards compared to Michigans 415 beating them in both rushing and passing yards. Illini also had more first downs. If you eliminate the turnovers its a close game and Michigan is a much better team than Minnesota. I also agree with the over. Buetjer will pick apart Minnesota's week defense and the Illini defense has looked poor all year and are now nursing a # of injuries. My prediction is 38-31 Illini. Good luck on your play.

I agree Hoops....... two weak D's = points......In addition, passing kills the clock, affording more points as well...... Good points.....I am on it with ya.......GL Overs....

Minnesota is going to be fired up for this one. They believe they gave away the Purdue game and with Northwestern next believe they can be 6-1 after 7 games.

Abdul-Kaliq is a very good QB who had a bad game. I expect him to be on tonight. MN has some oustanding recievers and a bonafide NFL Tight End in Uetech. I see them scoring a lot.

Illinois has shown the ability to amass large quantities of yards and, thus, should put a few points on the board.

I make it:

MN 41
IL 31

Play MN -3.5
Over 57.5

I am from Illinois and watch Illini football games regularly, and I can honestly say that this years team lacks a certain intensity they used to have. I agree Minn takes care of business at home. I am also with you on the over, Jon Beutjer went to a neighboring h.s. I have seen him put up big numbers since he was a jr. in h.s.
Nothing will change tonight

Minn & Over!!!!!!!!!!

here is a home guy with few posts that just gave us some inside information. Good work joey20
This sounds like hellah10 going to ball st and scoping that game out and hearing stuff. We can make the most money if we have the most people keeping our eyes and ears wide open.

Lets Rock !

I am on with Minn -3.5 for two units. If Hoops is on it and we got a QB ready to kick some Ill ass then what more can be said.

Thanks for all you do in here Hoops!

Hoops I got some questions for you in NFL thread . thanks .

Wasn't going to touch the other game, but the more I look at it the more I like Clemson. They are going to put points on FSU's secondary and don't let last week's pass-rush fool you..Louisville has a terrible O-line..won't be like that this week. Simmons will pick them apart. Also didn't like the undiscplined play from the Seminoles...too many stupid penalties and personal fouls..I don't think that type of behavoir will change in a few days of practice.

Clemson +14.5 (5*)
Clemson/Florida St Over 57 (5*)

Illinois/Minnesota Over 27.5 (5*)

Couple of key dropped passes and Beutjer's fumble have prevented this from being a 27-17 type game. Illinois starting to click with the passing game and it looks like Minny's running game is starting to wear-out the Illini D.
