I usually don't like to play the side an total on a particular game, but I think this is good spot for a split at the absolute worst. Thinking optimistically, I think there is a excellent chance both these plays cash-in. Minny has played a rather easy schedule thus far, tough loss at Purdue last week (who they always lose to), beat a decent Toledo squad, and besides that it's been cupcake city. They are a good offensive team...Abdul-Khaliq is a double-threat at QB, O-line is strong, and the Tapeh/Jackson RB duo is very good. Like all the decent teams Illinois has played this season, I think they are going to score a bunch of points on the Illini D. Mizzou, San Jose St, and Michigan had no problems at all with the Illinois D...the blitzing/gambling scheme that worked so well for them last year has worked the exact opposite so far..allowing too many big plays both passing and rushing. Since Beutjer has been at the helm at QB, Illinois offense has produced tons of yardage and points. I don't think Minny's D can shut them down entirely, but I think they will do a much better job containing Illinois offense as opposed to Illinois D trying to stop Minny's offense. Very hard for me to see Minny not scoring at least 30 (which would get a split regardless of the side outcome), looking for a 41-31 type game.
Good luck!
