YTD 67-49 (+1861)
Busy at work, but gonna squeeze this one in at lunch:
LOS ANGELES DODGERS (+111) The Dodgers just can't afford to leave San Francisco with their asses completely handed to them, so I think their best effort will show today in an attempt to avoid the sweep. I like the fact that Brett Tomko's career ERA versus LA is 4.53, but even more encouraging is that he has been absolutely pounded by the Dodgers in 11.1 innings this year (11 ER, 18 hits). On the other hand, Nomo is 13.5 with a 2.78 ERA lifetime vs. the Giants. Nomo also needs a good outing to secure his spot in the rotation, as he has not won a game in his last 7 starts. However, this was also the case with Bartolo Colon for the Angels and Ryan Vogelsong for the Pirates, who both broke bad slumps this week. I am hoping this can continue.
Best of Luck,
Sharky
