Big swing game for me I lost yesterday on stupid Cleveland Denver total with a 3 unit play. Needed 42 points for a push yesterday going into the 4th quarter and of course they get 41. Andre Miller bricked a free throw with 10 seconds left which is no surprise as denver shot 55% from the line and cleveland 67%. And these guys are professionals. Oh yeah, and pretty boy James bricked a jumper at the end. Both teams are bad, but Cleveland is REALLY bad. James is still a welcome surprise, but they are 3 years and plenty of players away from being really competitive. And imagine that, an ESPN game total going right down to the number??????
New Jersey/ Indiana OVER 170.5 2 units. Every game in the NBA cannot go under can it? Well yes, but scoring will eventually rise as the teams get better and the linesmaker adjusts the line. This lane is flat out too low though. Indiana is averaging 96 on the road and NJ around 80 at home. Only 1 time in the last 10 have these teams played under this number. Discount the houston game last game out and New Jersey is averaging 89 points a game for the season. I see no reason why this game doesn't go over. Both teams can score and with Martin out for NJ this should free things up for O'Neal to get easy buckets down low.
Dallas/ Toronto OVER 184.5 2 units. I don't care that Nash is out. Delk is a capable replacement. Dallas is playing a back to back situation where Toronto has had 5 days to rest for this one. Dallas never plays defense anyway, so Toronto on fresh legs will be able to run with them. Air Canada will get his points and Dirk should have a field day against torontos D.
Lakers/Spurs UNDER 91.5 1h. 2 units. No Parker again for the Spurs. Payback game for the Lakers of course from last year, but not even close to the same team for the spurs with no Parker and no Duncan. Popovich can coach, and the one thing he does NOT want to do is try and run his team up and down the court against the more talented lakers. Lakers have been playing good D and san antonio will have problems scoring. Lakers totals have been high lately but they have played Dallas, Phoniex, and Milwaukee three teams that like to run and play not great D. I just don't see San Antonio getting 40 in the 1st half and think the Lakers will be somewhere between 42-46.
Good Luck to All
