I Have to avoid Saying to myself at about Midnight......"Why The F#*% did I bet on the Rams" That would be a bad self conversation right before bed:facepalm: ....
I think This is Men against Boys Tonight... and here is why...
I've watched both teams play a game this year, I watched The Skins/Rams game..I made notes when it ended on that game...Here is what I noted back then:WASH @ STL
I jumped into a STL halftime bet as they were down and I figured Fisher would motivate them @ halftime, He did,But that STL defense is very soft and the Rams were moving the ball at will because for some odd reason the Redskins played in a zone defense and would not adjust, RG3 is awesome!Washington blew this game because of the stupid zone defense....rams are not good but play tuff for Fisher...who is this dumbass Defensive coordinator for the skins?
I watched the Miami Arizona game last Sunday...My impression was the Cards overlooked this Miami team, I also think Miami has a VERY Good Coaching Staff and they are on the rise..Arizona made plays when they had to, After the Game it should be noted that The Cardinal players were not Jumping for Joy but expected to win, which is what good teams do...If anyone is going to have a hangover from last weeks win it will be the Rams as Seattle has owned them I think winning 13 of the last 14 games between them, So it was a Major Emotional Win for the Rams Mentally...The Rams are a Very Young team and coming off big wins is hard to put behind them and move on...Arizona finds a way to just win games Baby...They are not pretty but they win...Going back into last year and this year they have the best W/L record of any team..11-2 going back into Nov 2011, also on that win list was the 49'ers in Early December as a home dog...Bottom Line is this team expects to win and gets it done...
Like I said the Rams are a young team, They will make more mistakes,The Cards are good at getting that ball,Cards have 6 Forced Fumbles (all recovered), Rams have none this year... Rams have been getting interceptions @ 8 this year but lets note they played two rookie QB's out of the 4 games.....keys to winning for the Cards are turnovers (Cards are +4) and red zone effectiveness (Cards have 10 TDs to the Cards opponents @ only 4)(Touchdowns allowed Cardinals 4 (1st), Rams 10 (17th)
Arizonas defensive coordinator is Ray Horton vs. Rams Offensive Coordinator is Brian Schottenheimer...This is the battle that will probably determine the game...
Rams Offensive Coordinator is Brian Schottenheimer who was the Jets Coordinator(2006-2011), Ugg this guy's play calling has made me Puke in the past....
Bradford has a qb coach this year,Frank Cignetti, He was Rutgers OC last year and was Pitt Panthers OC under Wannstedt 2009-2010,In 2006 he was North Carolinas OC and qb coach...all teams he has been associated with Their Offense has sucked....Schottenheimer's offensive game plans and play calling over the years has left me doing my share of Sunday Cursing when wagering on the Jets, Can't see it much better having Bradford at qb...
Arizona's defensive coordinator is Ray Horton,So Far Horton has been amazing as a Coordinator,He came out of nowhere for this job and has done well...he previously was assistant for defensive coordinators at Washington Redskins, Cincinnati Bengals, Detroit Lions, Pittsburgh Steelers,Pretty good defensive teams in the past but for the Lions...His Schemes won the New England game this year...Kicker Jay Feely talked to Tom Brady after the game and Tom said, 'I have no idea what you guys are doing', and so it did work," Horton told the radio program. The Patriots had the edge in total yards and time of possession on Sunday, but were only able to find the end zone once....
Rams defensive coordinator is in Limbo, Gregg Williams, So I think Fisher has a big hand in this defense which is good for the Rams as Fisher is a great Coach..
Cards Offensive Coordinator is Mike Miller, Miller has been with the Cards since 2007 and has climbed the ladder to OC this year. He Knows his players and their limitations and is a good fit for them as OC...He had a hand in the play calling last year(passing game coordinator) and now it's his Job.
To sum it up in a Nutshell, Cards will handle the hoopla/circus tonight better then the young Rams,The Rams Offensive line is Offensive,Cards Line no better but The Cards have 16 sacks on defense for the year(Rams only 6) so they should be the Team that gets to the qb tonight More... The way I see this game going down is Arizona will run the ball on the Soft Ram defense,They will win the battle of the Turnovers and Fisher & mega Leg Greg will keep the game in reach but won't win it....Again, This Cardinal Team Just wins games be it ugly but a W is a W...This game they will get Darnell Docket back:box2: , That is HUGE... HUGE against the Ram's terrible O line:0038 , Also The Cards get back Todd Heap this week as well...
