The week has gone well, but not to the degree that I had hoped for. My Tuesday was nice hitting everything on my card, but yesterday gave some of it right back. Hope to reverse the trend from yesterday and strike it again tonight.
Games:
Valparaiso +6 *** (3 Units)
I really like this game tonight. The Crusaders are playing well and slowly making strides in the Horizon. At home they've been great and feel they have solidified their swagger after just returning home from a 4 game road trip going 3-1.
Maryland +3.5 ** (2 Units)
I feel like I am constantly on the Terps, but it is for good reason. They are perhaps the best team in the ACC. I know that is a bold statement, but their inside/outside game is superior to anyone in the conference. I think they had a wakeup call against Clemson and will come put with a determined mindset.
Kent St -3.5 *** (3 Units)
Greene should be able to have his way against the Eagles as his size will be the dominant factor. Dobbins will try to slow him down, but I don't think it will be enough. Singletary has proved to be the X factor and I think that will be the difference today. Play their style and keep Bowdy off the boards for second attempts and I like Kent.
Citadel -5.5 ** (2 Units)
What is not to like about this matchup? They have the advantage in virtually every category and are coming off two tough losses on the road. Wells has been as consistent as they come and Streeter has been playing well chipping in with some clutch baskets and most importantly allowing them to secure the boards.
Washington St +2.5 ** (2 Units)
The Cougars are inconsistent and their record has very little pattern as they win and lose on the road and win and lose at home. However, ASU has been struggling without team leader Glasser which is a huge factor. Even though the record might not prove it, Wallis Beasley Arena is a tough place to play. Playing at home as a dog against a team that is erratic as of late, I like their chances.
Cal State Northridge +3.5 *** (3 Units)
Northridge is playing well during the past month going 4-3 with two of those losses coming by a point each. Now they get the doldrum of the Big West in Riverside whom they beat by 14 in their first meeting. The Highlanders have been reeling all season and even at home they are 1-4 losing by an average of 10 points. Their sole victory needed OT. I like the vastly improved Matadors to cover and very well win outright.
I might have a couple more games in the later evening. Good luck everyone!
Best,
Kaiser
