12-9-1 on year...2-2 Tuesday...

Florida -1'

Don't want to over analyze this one but Florida is playing better ball than Wake right now. The Gators have been spreading the ball around as 4 players are averaging DD in their first two games. 29point win over scoring machine Clark and StPeters and a 19point win vs a good Albany team. Wake has not looked like a top 25 team so far. Strickland has looked surprisingly good. Willams has looked good which is no suprise. The departure of Paul has hurt as Gray and Co. have had a ton of turnovers. A win here will put the Gators on the Top25 map and the place they take may just be the Demon Decons.

Texas Tech -1

Looks like the same game as above. The Red Raiders are playing better basketball than the Orange right now. JerryMc has struggled from long range in the first two games, but is still deadly from the 1point range. Roberts has picked up this team and has played well. The boys from Lubbock have played well and have 5 players averaging DD. Zeno looked great last game. Jackson got his points (like JMac) but had his struggles (like JMac). While McNamara couldn't hit a bomb, Jackson could help giving the ball to GaSouthern.

Easier for Jackson to stop turning the ball over than for McNamara to find his shot. 'Cuse loves playing in the Garden, but look for the Red Raiders to give the ranked team their first loss.

UCLA -5

Temple beat up on cupcake Army the other night and now have to travel to the West Coast to play at Pauley Pavillion. Collins will battle for A-10 POY and started off with a great game vs the Black Knights. Salisbery and Tyndale also contributed to the victory vs the Black Knights. The Owls turned the ball over only 4 times vs the Black Knights. Re-read the last part of the last 3 sentences. It is hard to tell how the Owls really played due to their opponent. Turnovers were decidedly in the Owls favor but they also had 12 less rebounds.

UCLA didnt' cover Tuesday night vs NMexSt (believe me, I know) but never really let the game get close. Since Shipp is still down, the other two "super Sophs" made up for him and played extremely well. Fey ended up playing but was pretty much a non-factor.

Late game for an East Coast team that really hasn't played anyone yet...give me the Bruins again.

The Flames lost Banks (18ppg, 5rpg) and Willams (10ppg, 7rpg) from a middle of the road team in the Horizon. A trio of transfers come in and may be asked to contribute sooner as opposed to later especially Jeffers. Returning Senior, Poole, will be expected to help contribute immediately.

The Bobcats return all 5 starters from last year including two of the top players in the BigSky in Jefferson and Moss. Miller will distribute and score also. Dissly (9ppg) and 6'11" Beye (9ppg) did not avg DD points last year like the previous three but all five could this year.

Wrong team favored as the Flames should be more affected by the late start in the land of the midnight sun. Look for the Bobcats experience to be the difference in this one.
