A lot of strong plays tonite...lines are off in Vegas or in my calculations....and since I'm not retired on a. beach in the Caymans the Vegas lines are usually better then mine....I think I have said this many times.. I do the games and have no idea what the lines are..then I see the lines and so many times I spend so much time on a game and the line is right where I think and have to pass... but I do keep all those notes and stats...for the future...lost Rutgers yesterday and thought Ohio St is better then -5 over Rutgers....but Rutgers actually not only covered but won outright...terrible job on my part...I got my 200th win last night vs the spread..pretty good but also lost 174..damn that is a lot of losses...I will come back here soon and tell the story of me winning my 200th High School game...again want to thank Old south for keeping my records and *'s in order..
Fairfield -5 over St Peter ****
Stags playing better and getting used to life w/o Nelson..they lost a tough one to Rider away by 1..they are coming off a beat down of Niagara winning 77-59...they have one inside player in Kasibabu who in that game had 20 pts and 14 bds...Stags inside presence is weak so only when they go up against a big front line they are in trouble.. Peter has no front line..but Stags have 3 gds that are solid.. Cruz and Alvarez are good..then the juco transfer Talafferro had 28 and 30 pts until the Niagara game where he scored only 8...Peter just lost to Monmouth who was 0-12 I think.. Watson,Turner and Taylor are all avg.. Peter can't score..they never could..they have relied on there hustle and defense for the past 7 years..but Dunn their coach is up in Poughkeepsie now and Hollway there coach from Seton Hall star is the coach,...they are not playing the defense they used to...Hollaway wants to open up the offense more and play uptempo more...but he needs a few years of recruiting before he can be successful...anyway Stags are at home and think they can put away Peter by more then 5 points..
South Dak St -17 over Denver ****
Here we go again...Jackrabbits loaded on offense..Baum,etc...they avg 85 pts a game 12th in the nation in scoring,11th in FG%,4th in 3 pt %..Flatten,Jenkins and King avg 19,15 and 9...they are 27,28,28 ats at home vs 8 or 9 losses ...Denver is 1-8 on the road...there defense gives up 77 point a game ...they can't score and that is the Jackrabbits only weakness..defense...think Jackrabbits win this by +22-27...at home...the only way Denver covers is that they bring some of the legal stuff that they smoke and pass out a few joints...oops... I have a friend who teaches in San Francisco...she uses vapors now...back in the day at North Texas we didn't have vapors..thank god that was in the late 60's and early 70's.. and speaking of North Texas

This will be the best team UTEP has seen this year...Mean Green have an excellent pt gd in Woolridge...Gibson shooting 3's and Smart has been quiet but he is the best player in Conf USA..the problem is he doesn;t know it..what is amazing about my Alma mater is that they are sharing the ball and play defense...they are 15-1 and 3-0 in conf..UTEP lost back to back games vs UTSA by 15 and 4...in comes the Mean Green...NT is not blowing people out but think they can handle the Miners who are a poor shooting team...I am going to the UTSA-North Texas game on saturday...in San Antonio...and speaking of UTSA

Owls have won 2 in a row as underdogs beating So Miss and La Tech...pretty impressive..I just think the Roadrunners are one of the most dangerous teams in the conf...Jhivvan is one of the most exciting players in the country..only a soph but can score,drive and pass...he is also a head case but since he came back from being injured he is on fire...Wallace his 6'3 wiry left handler partner is dangerous..these 2 guys are a night mare to
match against..they have decent scoring inside...they aren't a fast breaking team...need to play a little better
defense...think they give North Texas a game on Saturday...interesting to see what that line is
