North Texas -6.5 over So Miss ***
Mean Green are on a roll winning 3 in a row and 6 of last 7...the juco Hamlet pt gd has really come alive..they play tough defense and So Miss defense will have a tough time slowing North Texas down...NT has won a few games on the rd so vs a bad defensive team and an offense that is questionable think NT gets a nice conf rd win.
Texas St -4.5 over UL Monroe *****
Played this last nite because the line seems to me to be " to good to be true ".. just watched Texas St destroy Appa st... so is Texas getting there act together now or is Appa St bad..think its a bit of both...Bobcats have Pearson the best player in the conf...if you double team him or put someone on him that might slow him down..I'm sure UL can scout him.. but Texas St defense is on you 24-7..they ball hawk and pressure you.. UL offense doesn't have the gds to attack the defense.. Terry the tx center is still in a funk,, Sule in the Appa St game came off the bench and 18 pts..Harrell the 5'5 pt gd knows his position on the court..Small is a 6'8 string bean who although leads in rebounding but wants to be a gd..what I like about the Bobcats is they always attack the basket and get fouled..UL is in trouble tonite.. Last yr UL beat Tx St 63-60.. Terry had 19 pts and 10 bds and Texas was 6-28 from the 3 with Pearson 0-6...but UL had Munnings who had 14 pts and I loved him but he is gone and I thought he was the UL Monroe team.. Ertel is there leading scorer a small gd who I think tonite will be faced with a tough man/man defense.. Bobcats have floundered in conf think they wake up tonite in Monroe
