The Houston Astros look to extend their season-high winning streak tonight when they go for the series sweep against the Pittsburgh Pirates.

The Astros beat the Pirates 13-4 last night to make it six straight wins including the first three of this series at Minute Maid Park. Meantime the Pirates have lost five straight and 10 of 14 and will struggle to turn that around today in what will be their tenth road game in as many days.

Tim Redding gets the start for Houston and will look to improve on his 3-2, 3.34 ERA this season. The young right-hander has won three straight and is reaping the benefits of adding a sinker to his repertoire and also improving the consistency of his fastball.

28 year-old right-hander Jeff Suppan is an impressive 4-2, 2.05 ERA this season for the Pirates. But he has lost his last two starts and may struggle to get enough of the offensive support he will need today.

The Astros have beaten the Pirates in 14 of the last 17 games at Minute Maid Park including the last seven straight. They have outscored Pittsburgh by an amazing 50 runs to 17 during this stretch....just one run shy of a 3:1 ratio!

Once again we'll ride the hot home Astros to continue their domination of this series.
