navy drops last saturday's bfgotw and makes their way on the never-to-be-played-again list, but other plays go 8-3 to salvage the day. overall record now 35-25, bfgotw 1-1, double plays 1-0. one play for tonight.

clemson +14: as advertised in other threads this week, tigers are a value play in the father & son bowl this year. this appears to be an off year for the seminole defense, and rix is not up to the level of fla st signal callers of the recent past. clemson is a talented team and simmons is dangerously athletic as well as motivated to play against this team. fla st d line will have serious issues containing him and keeping tigers off the board. too many ways for clemson to cover this number, including a more than negligible chance of the outright win.

If last year's State team could beat FSU in Tally, no reason this year's Clemson team can't do the same. No offense, but this year's Clemson team is considerably better than last year's State team (which managed to lose at home to a very mediocre Clemson team). FSU has some of the same major problems they had last year -- internal discord and a lack of senior leadership. Remember: never bet on a team where the offensive line hates the quarterback. Eason is a huge part of the Clemson D, but if he can't go tonight, it will help to have the backup DT's lining up across from a center who spends his time looking downfield to see whether Rix is ignoring open receivers.

I have no idea why the total on this game is so high, as both teams' defenses are far superior to the offenses.

Give me the Tigers and the Under.

hadn't put much time into consideration of the total, but i think you're right on as usual, mw. i see this game as a 27-20 type game, one way or the other. i may sneak in an under play myself closer to gametime. gl tonight.

how the hell do we ever know that the offensive line hates the QB ? Is that something we can find out ?

That sounds like a big advantage if we could know that.
