Afternoon Game

1)Eastern Illinois(+2)

E.Illinois has better numbers in free throws, rebounding and DFG% than Eastern Michigan. E.M. does have better offensive FG numbers, but offence can go hot and cold, while those other parameters are fairly consistent game to game.

E.Illinois is 3-0 ATS their last 3 road games as dogs, and 5-2 ATS their last 7 lined games.

E.Michigan is 1-5 ATS their last 6 lined games.

Good luck out there today,
Tiger

Thanks for the GL LMM.

2) LaSalle(-1)

Explorers better in 4/5 categories that I look at.

OFG%
3OFG%
DFG%
Rebounds

They are especially dominant on the boards where they have outrebounded their last 8 consecutive opponents, and at DFG% where Holy Cross has a terrible mark of 50.7% in their last 5 games.

Holy Cross has lost 4 in a row. LaSalle has won 6 of their last 9.

Also, the HC Crusaders might be a little stagnant as they have only played 2 games since Dec 6th, while LaSalle has played 4 times in that time span.

Tiger: one question. Given these compelling stats, and the fact that this is a home game for LaSalle, why are they only favored by 1 point ?

Thanks, and good luck !

Hi Keith................Excellent question. I think the game is a virtual pick'em because Holy Cross has played a tougher schedule so far. They have played George Mason, Duke, Syracuse, Providence and Datyon so far. Not saying all of those teams are great teams this year, but they are "name" programs, and as such will skew the line.

3)Tennessee Tech(+18)

Huge let-down situation for the Tennessee Vols here. After B/B emotional wins over #15 Oklahoma State on a last second tip-in and an OT win over Texas after being down by 17 points in the 2nd half, not they face lowly Tenn Tech.

Obviously, the stats favour the Vols, but not by as much as I would have thought. In YTD #'s, Tech is actually better at O3FG%, FT%, and they are virtually tied in OFG%. In their last 5 games, Tech is shooting 39.8% from beyond the 3 pt line. Wow!

4) East Carolina(+14)

When I get a team that has better numbers on the boards and DFG% and is a DD dog, it's always a play.

Early returns not looking very good as E. Illinois failed to show up for the 2nd half and LaSalle didn't show up for the 1st half.

Had these last 2 games capped as plays.....feel free to fade away.

5) Rider (+22.5)
6) LSU/MV State (under 122.5)
