Let's keep the latest hot streak rolling!

BALTIMORE
+160
to beat NEW YORK

The last time Ponson pitched at home against the Yanks, it was just a fluky game. He was pitching fine for 5 innings. 0 runs allowed. The he had 2 outs in the next inning and as we all know baseball is a weird game - - - - he just could not for the life of him get the 3rd out and let up 8 two out runs. Has Ponson pitched below his potential this year? Definitely. But should he be a 17/10 underdog in his own house? No way. Vazquez is just as likely to implode as Ponson is. Javy can be lights out one game and then can't find the plate the next. Back the Birds tonight! GL FORUM!

Sidney is having an off year, but the team was really up after their first win against the Yankees. Ponson has lost six straight games and if he's going to snap out of it why not tonight. I agree and the Orioles should warrant a play especially at that price, but found this and feel with the Yankees dominance over the Orioles and Ponson's losing streak you can see why the line is set so high:

The Orioles players were in a chipper mood Wednesday after finally beating the Yankees, 13-2, at Camden Yards, snapping a nine-game losing streak to the Bombers. Baltimore had been outscored 68-35 in the first seven games against the Yankees this season and was in a state of frustration.
David Newhan had four hits and Miguel Tejada appears to be breaking out of his slump. He homered for the second consecutive game and now has seven RBIs in the series. He is 13 for his past 32 with hits in eight consecutive games.

Sidney Ponson will get the nod Thursday in another crucial start. Ponson has lost six straight games, including twice to the Bombers, allowing 15 runs in 10 1/3 innings. He surrendered eight runs in the fifth inning against New York on May 27. He leads the AL in four dubious categories: hits allowed (128), losses (9), runs allowed (73) and earned runs (68).

The Orioles' offense appeared to be snapping out of its funk. The O's are fifth in the AL with a .277 average and put up a season-high 17 hits against Yankee pitching on Wednesday. Melvin Mora, second in the AL in hitting, could be back in the lineup. He has missed four games with a sprained foot.

Good Luck - game time nod to see if I'm on board with ya.
