Marist -7.5

Siena (2-6) at Marist (4-2) 7:30PM

This is a first MAAC conference game for both teams and therefore an important game for both of them. So far this season Marist has been a surprise and Siena a disappointment.

To date, Marist is 4-1 ATS while Siena is 1-4 ATS.

Siena is struggling, especially on the road. They're averaging 20 turnovers per game, including 24 the other night in their overtime loss at home vs Toledo. Leading scorer Dwayne Archobald hasn't found his touch yet this year, he was 5-14 from the field vs. Toledo and only 1-7 from 3 points. In fact, the three leading scorers on the team can't seem to make a basket: Archobold (.386), Price (.316) and Karangwa(.339).

Neither team has any rebounding but Marist has one of the best backcourts in the MAAC with seniors Sean Kennedy and Rick Smith, both starters for the last 3 years.

Siena has not been good on the road, losing by nine to Fordham 78-69 and by 17 to Cleveland State 83-66.

Marist is 3-0 at home, beating Drexel 75-67, Columbia 69-59 and South Alabama 80-70.

Marist is a solid team, they average only 11 turnovers per game and they played tough on the road at UMASS (losing 59-66) and at Bowling Green (losing 58-61).

Siena is struggling on the road and they're having trouble hitting baskets and with turnovers.

I like Marist at home by double digits in this important first conference game.
