Why do you like SOUTH CAROLINA?

(I don't like 'em 'cause I don't like anybody)

Buddy-

I like SC for a few reasons.

1. I live here in SC, and the hype is so large around here about the "Spurrier era", that I feel as if the Gamecocks will be pumped for this game

2. Central Florida is not good. They were winless last year (0-11 SU and 3-8 ATS). Granted, the gamecocks are not the most talented in the SEC, but they are much more talented than UCF.

3. UCF has a bye the second week of the season. They are 0-7 ATS the last 7 years before a bye game.

4. Williams Brice Stadium will be a VERY tough place for them to start the season.

Even though I know as a capper that you shouldn't bet a game if your heart is involved, I had to throw a little on it because I'll be there. Didn't go real large to start the season. Take it for what it's worth, but that's why I like them.

Is Cory Boyd still suspended?

are 11-0 when opening the season
on a day other than Saturday, out-
scoring their opponents 246-12 in
those openers. Not bad.

Cory Boyd is still suspended. Gamecocks do have some great backup talent there including Mike Davis who was the #1 rusher in the state last year in high school. He will see playing time.

Spurrier will also be using his "Cock n Fire" offense to throw to talented receivers: Noah Whiteside, Kris Clark (who has been catching everything in practice), Syvelle Newton, and Sydney Rice.

The Gamecocks will be too much for them.

South Carolina's defense is good enough to put points on the board as well. I can certainly see the defense causing at least 2 turnovers (probably picks with the secondary the Gamecocks have).
