I will be on Virginia and stuffing all 17 points in my pocket....might need them all in order to cover.......dont think UVA is all that good, but i like them because they lost outright last week as a double digit favorite.

Underdogs who lost outright the game before as double digit favorites are 33-17-2 ATS the last three seasons.......Road dogs who lost the game before at home as double digit favorites are 77-44-2 with a 21-12 record the last three years......not to pub my own thread, but check it out for more info on this system/trend.

As bad a Virginia has been, they've only allowed 60 points this year......three touchdowns against them have been defensive scores as well as a TD on a short field in an overtime game.....low scoring game, the Cavs will be able to put pressure on Ball, hopefully harass him into mistakes.

If Virginia can manage a couple of scores, those 17 points will come in handy!!

Good luck with whatever you play!!!

Going with the under on this game. May also go with Ga Tech -17.

From USATODAY.com:

VIRG are 2-6 ATS in their last 8 road games.

Under is 13-4 in GATCH last 17 Thu. games.
Under is 22-8-2 in GATCH last 32 conference games.
Under is 39-19-2 in GATCH last 60 games overall.

Head to Head: Home team is 7-1 ATS in their last 8 meetings.
Road team is 1-7 ATS in their last 8 meetings.

UVA is horrible. When we go to Charlottesville in a few weeks, it may be a 2-0 final.

With that said, I really like the under. I expect to see a 24-3 type game in favor of GT.

I will "see" your trends on Virginia's road woes, and "raise" you trends on Georgia Tech's home record:

Tech: 3-8 ATS in Thursday night games
1-5-1 ATS as double digit favorite
9-18-1 ATS at home the last five years
6-12-1 ATS as a home favorite the last five years
6-14 ATS at home vs ACC foes
4-10 ATS at home as a favorite vs ACC foes

Playing the Cavs strictly on the road dog after losing the week before as double digit favorites.....i do like their defense.....and i agree with everybody who sees a real low scoring contest, so a 17-point head start might be enough to get the cover......

I must say.....

talk about a complete toss up. This one is split right down the middle.

My gut tells me that there will be plenty of upsets this weekend in NCAA Ball. Although, I don't think that this will be one of them, I do think it will be a close game. Definatley playing the under. And If I can reason that a game will go under....then I would be crazy not to take the 17 points.

UVA +17 One unit.

Good luck to all! Lets get this Football weekend started with a win!
