Over Seattle/Detroit
Redsox
SF Giants
Brewers
Oakland
Twins
Braves
Astros
**notes**
I have been taking the over in all on Pettyjohn's starts. In his last start he lost 7-4 to the tribe, the time before that he lost to Cleveland once again 8-4 and he lost to the Reds in a rare home win for Cinncy 9-1 and the total was 10. Maybe the play is on Seattle, but I prefer the Over.
Redsox have now dropped back to back games to the Angels - who I might add are playing very well, but Rapp is not Schoenweis or Ortiz and feel he will give up more than the 5 runs scored in game 1 & 2 by the Bosox, plus Saberhagen was in this same role last week, as Boston had lost 2 in a row and won his start 9-5 over the Wsox.
SF Giants is playing very good ball and feel they will really light Mcknight up in this afternoon contest. I have had very good luck playing SF at home in afternoon games and another plus is Rueter is on the mound. The price is worth it.
Brewers - ok not much to write about here, but they should have a little pride left and avoid the sweep, plus another team that seems to put up good numbers in the afternoon. Lavrault is not a bad pitcher either, his last start he lost to the Dodgers 3-1 and at that time the Dodgers were on fire scoring 9 runs the day before and 7 runs the next day.
Oakland - I like this teams effort, they play hard everytime out and are always in the ball game. Feel Mulder is one of the best pitchers going and will pull this one out. Plus Oakland bounces back after a loss more so than not.
Twins - sure hope they can pull this game out, I think Reed will be ok in Minny and I think the bats will wake back up against Carpenter, last two starts the other team has scored 16 runs in games started by him.
Braves, this team is hard to figure out. I knew Maddux vs. Kile was going to be tough, but feel Braves will pull this one out. I have noticed through the years Glavine gets run support while others like Burkett, Maddux ect... do not. Last time out he had 10 runs to play with, also like Glavine on the road more so than at home - not sure about the stats but think he does better away.
Astros - if the Astros are ever going to make a run at the Cubs, it must start now. Bullpen still sucks. Last Saturday gave up 6 or 7 runs in 9th to Pitt and last night getting 6 scored on them late vs. the Mets. Well after the Pitt game they stormed back and won and feel they will bounce back in this spot vs. the Mets. Not really looking into the pitchers in this game, I like the Astros bats to find a way to win this game.
