Northwestern-Can not see Michigan staying inside this number as they have won just one game away from home all year. Not playing very well lately as they are 2-8SU & ATS their last ten games. Northwestern just 5-5SU but 7-3ATS their last ten games. Northwestern won at Michigan 58-54 back on 1/16/02 in their only meeting this year. Wildcats will win today by more than that. Northwestern 75 Michigan 64.
Pacific-Two hot clubs going at it today as CS-Northridge is riding a 4 game winning streak while Pacific has won 5 in a row. I just think Pacific much the better team and I know that they play better defense. Pacific has probably made the NIT field but a win today locks it up. The Tigers to cover the 3 points.
San Diego State-SDST playing better than BYU right now going 7-3SU their last ten games. BYU can not win away from home as they were an awful 1-10 away. Looking at the overall records you would think that BYU would be favored by 3 or 4 points. With the price at a pick'em I think Vegas wants the money to go on BYU. Should be a close game but San Diego State wins this one.
Kent State- Kent is the class of the Mid-American Conference and I see them playing well today. Clinched the conference title with 3 games left to play and played less than inspired ball in those games. Like them in this spot, first game of the tournament, to show their muscle. Marshall not a bad team but I think Kent covers the 10.5. Kent State 89 Marshall 68.
