Not bad last couple of days going 6-1-1(2-0 w/Best Bets). Playing these tonight:
Eastern Illinois +8(Best Bet)
Cleveland State +1
Wisconsin-Milwaukee +3.5
UL-Lafayette -2
California +2.5
Idaho +5
Eastern Illinois-The Panthers have dominated this series as of late winning both meetings last year and the last 7 overall. Beat the Eagles by 10 points last year @ Johnson Arena and are coming off a nice 85-75 road win @ SE Mo. St. With the nation's leading scorer in Henry Domercant, recent history, and the 8 points I'm taking the Eastern Illinois Panthers in my "Best Bet" of the day.
Cleveland State-The Vikings won both meetings between these two last year(W by 10 @ YS)and have a decent record on the road this year(3-3). The Penguins, losers of 5 in a row, are having trouble scoring points(60ppg ave. during their losing streak) and that spells trouble for them tonight. Cleveland St. by 5pts.
Wisconsin-Milwaukee-These two split their games last year with the Flames winning by just 2 points @ home. The Panthers, winners of 10 of 12, are a very good basketball team and are a very respectable 6-3 away this year.
Should be a close game that will probably come down to the last shot. I think Wisc.- Milwaukee will win straight-up but will take the 3.5 points just in case.
UL-Lafayette-Won both games on the scoreboard and the backboard against the Jags last year(ave. score 74-61). UL-Lafayette even better this year and they play well on the road as their 5-3 record indicates(W @ Miss. St.). South Alabama 0-6 as a doggie this year and I do not see them winning tonight. UL-Lafayette to cover this small number.
California-The Bears are very tough at home while the Ducks have a history of not playing well away. Think that Oregon might still be hurting from their loss to Arizona at home last Thursday. I'm taking Cal and the points in a game that might be decided by a bucket or less.
Idaho-These two teams are not very good. Cal-SB(losers of 6 out of their last 7) has yet to win on the road this year and they are a 5 point favorite?!!? Might be a trap but I'll take the Vandels +5 @ home.
Hope to keep my modest little streak going tonight. Eastern Illinois might be the best play all week.
