Thursday 0-1-1

Miami +9 - push
Memphis +8.5 Lose

Season 2-1-1

Very aggravating. Had both of these games in the W column until final 2 minutes. The final 2 minutes can tell you a lot about a team and the unity or lack of committment toward winning. Miami absolutely quit and gave up an uncontested basket with 20 seconds left then proceeded to dribble out the rest of the game at the half court line without so much as an effort: makes you wonder about the heart of the team. I have seen this from the Knicks who are a very moody team but nerver before from Miami.

I suggest staying away from taking eiter of these teams as a favorite or dog in until we see which way their wind is blowing. They should be "go against" teams for a while with additional value added.

Memphis played much better than the score indicates but went cold and also gave up in the final minute thus the final acore was exaggerated. the difference is that this team lacks ability and direction...not enthusiasm or desire. This is my 2nd loss with the Grizzles (not documented but took them against the Lakers) and I may not play them again for a while but there will be value in this team if they keep trying and if their coach can keep them together.
They are young and without leadership: time will tell.

LOLTA,
Bill
