I haven't really heard much about Kris Benson being traded. I don't really think the Bucs would get much for him because of the way he is pitching this year.
On the other hand though, I have heard some rumors about Suppan being traded. I had heard that if he pitched well last night, which he really didn't, that he would be traded. But who knows what Dave Littlefield is thinking. I mean who trades Ramirez and Lofton, but gets almost nothing back for him.
I have also heard that Giles and Kendall may be going in a package deal. I don't know to where but that is just a rumor going around. I really look for Kendall to go before the deadline though, not sure if it will be with Giles or not but he has a big contract and they are dumping salary.
A few years ago the Bucs salary was at 9 million, I think that is what Littlefield is looking to do. But in doing so that puts them right back in the pits again.
If you were to pick up Benson or Suppan though. I would definately go with Suppan. He has pitched really well lately, aside from last night I think he had won his last 4 and has only lost 2 games out of his last 10.
