Need help with a question asked of me the other day at my favorite after work watering hole. What year did they end ties in college football and go to the overtime scenario? I cannot rermember for the life of me.

My guess is after the 1994 or 1995 season. I remember tie games in 1993 and I specifically remember watching OT games in 1996.
Overtime began in Division I football in 1996. I thought this was correct, but I did a little research and this is correct.
