Now this article is nothing new,my point is the power Tiger and in turn Nike has, to have every golf mag print half truths. This is remainder that they don't print, his collaborating proof.

Five of six events have been won won by Titleist golf balls,3 been won by players with Titleist drivers,3 titleist irons,3 titlelist wedges,5 using Titleist fairway woods including Tiger and 6 of 6 using Titleist putters again including Tiger.

DTB there is something in this V1x ball thing...not so much in PGA, but on beards and Euro, not many using...
Tried to get Titleist to provide updated list but they could not..complained players charged them to quote their names!
Fernandez not on their list, winner last week, Leaney not on list, 2nd (to Els, who is on list!)

I am not paying for that Darrell Survey stuff..

Something wrong there..the V1x will give 20-30 yard driving distance improvement and players want paying to use it...here is quote from Titleist r&d

'As you can probably guess, most players these days want to be paid if we use their names, so we can't really give out such lists outside of our official press releases and other publications.'

'At this point, the Pro V1x is still a new product that a lot of players are experimenting with, so the list changes daily. I believe that on the European PGA Tour, about 1/4 of the Titleist players are using the "X" ball, but that increases substantially with each tournament. On the US PGA Tour, it's more like 2/3 of the Titleist players using the new ball. I think we're a little reluctant to talk about the Pro V1x very much on our website, for fear of creating the type of overdemand that we experienced with the original Pro V1 a couple of years ago. Until the Pro V1x debuts as an official consumer product, I suspect we'll refer to it as a "prototype" Pro V1 or just lump it in with the Pro V1 family.'

If we had dates players switched, or planned to switch, now that would be something...anyone know how we can get Darrell survey info...cheaply/free? At least we could catch up on beards...

Thanks DTB. Some more info..McGinley was quoted last weekend (Sunday in Oz) that not using V1x ball was costing him 2-3 shots a round...probably not the best way to approach your golf, but I think McGinley is a bit like that...
