Tiger, Lefty US Open faves
Tiger Woods isn?t used to having company at the top of the odds-board, but he does at this week?s U.S. Open at Pebble Beach. Here?s the preview from BroburySports.com.

Woods has won the U.S. Open three times, most recently in 2008 at Torrey Pines. He also won the last time it was at Pebble Beach in 2000. Woods was at his utter dominance, winning by 15 strokes (-12).
That was a decade ago, long before his marital problems and becoming the poster boy for tabloid newspapers. Woods is also dealing with a recent neck injury and the loss of his swing coach, Hank Haney.
Woods is still the 6-1 co-favorite with Phil Mickelson, but it?s a far cry from when he was Even odds for most major tournaments.
Mickelson is certainly the other big name this week as he turns 40-years-old on Wednesday. He?s never won the U.S. Open, but did win the only major this year (the Masters). He can become the top-ranked player in the world with a win.
?Lefty? is actually favored (-125) over Woods (-105) in the individual matchup odds. No one would have predicted that a year ago.
Lee Westwood (7/1) is right up there with the top-2. However, the last time a European won the U.S. Open was Tony Jacklin in 1970. If you?ve never heard of Jacklin, don?t worry. You?re certainly not the only one.
Westwood finished either second or third in the last three majors. He now holds the dubious title of ?best golfer to never win a major.? That?s a tag you want to lose as soon as possible.
A good medium shot this week is Dustin Johnson (30/1). He?s won the AT&T National Pro-Am at Pebble Beach the last two years, including this February.
However, this U.S. Open version is much harder with the narrower fairways, and some moved dangerously close to the cliff?s edge.
You have to have big guts or luck to win this tournament. One of the long shots could provide a great payout.
