Leave it to Lennox Lewis in the booth, for the Pack to deliver a ONE-TWO combination to the Jag's Jaw.

DOWN GOES FRAISER!!!

so, as painful as it is........GO PACKERS!!!

UGH, and i just thought of some EXTREMELY poor planning on my part.... unless i want a really ugly monday morning next week, i'm not gonna be able to watch the bears/pack game..... gotta be making a drive home starting no later than 1:00

Man, that was a very ingenious move right there. I've done the same thing numerous times throughout the season. For the folks who don't realize what has just happened, please allow me to explain.

A certain individual laid some coin on the Packers tonight. Green Bay was playing some average football until the gentleman above threw some reverse psychology on the people in the Jags corner(ME included) And true to form, the Packers regain some confidence and start kicking a little ass!!!! SHIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I should've thought of it first!

yyz,

Congratulations on rooting for a team that dominates a game against weak competition from start to finish and doesn't have to rely on the wide crossbar, red zone interception, special team fumble recoveries and fortuitous flags on pass interference and EVERY time the Jags made a first down.

If the Pack were lucky, they'd be unstoppable.

Bears bringing our horseshoes to Lambeau next week. NO PLACE LIKE FIRST PLACE.

Just goes to prove what I said Sunday about this division being weak from top to bottom. Like I said.....It is unfortunate a decent team(s) may miss the playoffs because the "stars" say Green Bay, Tampa Bay, and chicago have to be there.

Everyone says what a great game we should see next week......It may be a close game, but it won't be a great game. In order to play great, you need to be great. Neither of these teams fit the bill.

Sorry to all the Jags fanes who had that game taken away by the refs last night, but as the people in Chi-town have learned to say:

"Hey....we won, didn't we?"

yyz, what teams to you think are *consistently* better than the teams you listed here, why don't those 3 teams deserve to be in the playoffs? not a team out there that hasn't lost some, won some, and pulled some out of their butts this year.

(if you dare name SF, i'll have to put itching powder in your hat IF you win it

)

cuz if SF deserves to be in the playoffs, so does Chicago

the very nature of parity makes dog playing that much nicer. I had a losing weekend this past, but overall the year has been pretty good. I picked the 'wrong' dogs this weekend, but over all they continue to bite (9-6 LW?)

Am I crazy to keep bringing up the math that buddy laid out regarding possible outcomes of teams in fav/dog roles? 2 out of 3 ways a dog can win. 1 out of 3 ways a fav can win. This slaps me in the face every time i read it! Why would people want to keep laying points when they see this? Is there some 'psychology' to playing favorites or the team that is supposed to win at play here? We try and come together as a team here at MJ's and if I make just 1 impression in my stay here, I hope it is this. I have definately benefited with other dog players and their analysis here during the week and they all seem to be doing good this year too...perhaps they are onto something.....

Year in, and year out, the ratio of dogs to favs covering the spread is always around the 50/50 mark.

There are few exceptions.

Phoenix,

I hope you don't think buddy discovered that thought on dogs? It has been around forever, and although it sounds great, it is still a coin flip as to which dogs get the cover, and which lose!

The fact is, if dogs covered all the time, we would all be rich, or stupid to not be!

You would be better served to see who has the most wins (Fav/Dog) towards season's end, and go the other way, in hopes of that "50/50" split we always see.

There is no rhyme or reason as to what happens in this game, as far as these things go.

Mama,

Teams I think are better than GB,TB, chi:

The obvious

St Louis, Philly, and (sorry!) San Francisco

The less than obvious

Washington, Arizona

The "same boat" teams

Atlanta, New Orleans

Just my spin, of course.

yyz,

I agree that the split is roughly even at end of year and I know buddy did not 'invent' those numbers but since he is the first one I saw to post here, I want to give him credit.

I'm also not saying to bet all dogs indiscriminantly. If you did and the numbers were 50/50 you would lose a lot of vig. I am simply stating that if you have two bags, one with 2 green balls and 1 red ball, the other two reds and a green....and your object is to keep picking green balls, which bag would you rather be 'picking' out of?

Trying to 'find' the live dog as opposed to the 'sure' favorite is more sound as far as winning in the long run. If you wanna just be a gambler, play however you wish. If your desire is to make some dough at this, shouldn't you utilize every bit of knowledge you have in order to increase your chances at that?

Gb is average, Favre finally showed flashes of his superbowl days, the jags were trash talking him, it seems like Favre only plays well when he's in the game mentally, as he was yesterday. Bottom line with Gb they play the worst ZONE defense in the NFL, they give huge cushions and if the Jags had a good running game they win easily. Simply the packers best corner Mackenzie is not a shutdown corner, Tyrone Williams can't cover anyone and they have no depth in the secondary.
