I have a heck of a time figuring out when a person posts at MadJacks. I know it says the time at MadJacks is GMT -6 but I find it difficult to relate to GMT.

I live in Texas, and since most Internet sites use Eastern Time, I usually just subtract 1 hour.

How do ya'll figure it out for MadJack posts?

i.e. A post of 11:14 AM -- what time would that be in Texas???

if the post is at 11:14 then it was posted at 10:14 texas time. I think texas and arizona are 1 hour difference for a few more weeks. If a post was at 11:14 on gmt time then it is 9:14 pacific. hooe this helps

On the course!
Look at your watch as you submit a post. Click on the post, and see what time it says. Do the math, and VOILA!

ron,

we've all had this problem in the past. Jack is right, go to your Profiles, then Edit Options and change the time to GMT -1:00 and this will fix it.

Ahhhhhh...

That's wonderful!!!

Jack, I didn't understand what you meant but Felonious Monk made it perfectly clear.

I've edited my profile and now everything is Texas time.

Thank you and good luck to all of us.

PerpetualCzech,

I don't know if the time is off or not -BUT- you can set it so that it makes sense to you in the Profiles, Edit Options.

In the case of Texas, that happens to be GMT -1. Jack might know what it is for Sweden.

:)

just keep playing around with it until you find the settings you prefer.

if it helps, the server is on central time.

yepitsme,

If you wake up in the middle of the night and wonder about a score do you stumble to your computer to get an update? I would say I do this more often than not! :)

PC/Jack,

that would be a funny thread, I can't count the number of times that I have woke up in the middle of the night and had to check late plays:D. What is really funny is when you have Mama screaming from the rack "what the hell are you doing"? Uhh, honey I am just checking on the baby:eek:

Jack, Yeah but at least you guys are lucky in North America ... if you wake up at 3 in the morning you get all the final scores but we poor souls in Europe have to be satisfied with a second quarter update! :D
