I see where people talking about players being tired cause of an overtime game or they played yesterday. I just don't see it. Most all these guys are 18-24 years old and I know when I was that age I could play forever much less having a day to rest and the hype of being in a tournament. I just can't see this factoring in to capping a game.

Just wanted to throw my opinion out. GLTA;)

to play at a high intensity especially on the defensive in it wears on you......no team can play with the highest intensity for a whole game much less day after a tough game before.....it does factor in somewhat

Of course they can still run and jump and go fast and everything the next day, but can they do it 100% for a whole game? If they're at 95%, which might be undetectable to us, does that translate to a hammering when the other team is at 100%? A lot of recent games have shown the team with the bye has done a number of the teams that had to play in.

Nothing is carved in stone -- they are big time atheletes, but it is something to factor in. How much of a factor (from 0 to alot) is debatable, to be sure.

The teams that have been coming off close wins and playing the next day have invariably all been failing to cover. Not all have been getting blown out like St Johns last night but you have to believe if Georgetown was fresh they probably prevail yesterday. South Fla had a close win the other day and Cincy basically had them blown out within a few minutes. Last weekend Canisius, Wis Green Bay and Illinois State were all teams that advanced by narrow wins and none of them covered the next day. I'm fading all the OT winners from yesterday.

I guess there is proof in the pudding. I see what you mean by not being completely 100% especially for the whole game. Thanks for your input guys.
