Titans favored to remain unbeaten at betED.com

The Tennessee Titans continue their quest for an unbeaten season when they entertain Brett Favre and the New York Jets on Sunday, one of the highlights of Week 12 in the NFL.

betED.com has the Titans as 6-point favorites against the Jets, with the over/under at 40.

Many thought the Titans would suffer their first defeat of the season in Week 11 against AFC South rival Jacksonville Jaguars. But Tennessee (10-0 SU, 9-0-1 ATS) prevailed, beating the Jaguars 24-14 and covering the 3-point road spread on Sunday. The score fell under the total of 40.

The Jets (7-3 SU, 6-4 ATS) beat AFC East rival New England Patriots 34-31 last Thursday, as 3-point road dogs.

The Jets and Titans are dead-even over their past six meetings, each winning three times. The Jets have a slight advantage against the spread, going 4-2 ATS. The teams last met in December of last season, with Tennessee winning 10-6. The Titans failed to cover the 8.5-point home spread and the score was well below the over/under total of 37.5.

That last meeting followed a familiar ?under? trend, as seven of the past nine overall and seven of the past eight in Tennessee have gone under the total.

Both teams are banged up. New York kicker Mike Nugent (leg) is questionable, while WRs Laveranues Coles (leg), Jerricho Cotchery (shoulder) and Brad Smith (shoulder), and LB Cody Spencer are listed as probable.

For the Titans, LB Keith Bulluck (chest), WR Justin McCareins (concussion) and DE Kyle Vanden Bosch (groin) are all listed as questionable, while Guard Eugene Amano (knee), RB Ahmard Hall (concussion) and CB Nicholas Harper (ankle) are all probable.
