UFC 100 Odds ? Title fights don?t hold all the action
It?s easy to, while looking at your UFC 100 fight card, to only pay attention to the two monster title bouts and dismiss the rest of the card. But there are still a few fights worth watching for this huge MMA event in Las Vegas, with a few other big names along the way.
Jon Fitch vs Paulo Thiago
Fitch is a -400 favorite according to UFC 100 odds, and he?s such a big favorite due to his experience advantage on the big stage of the UFC, as this is Thiago?s second fight in MMA?s largest company, and his first on American soil. Thiago has knockout power, proven by his uppercut against Josh Koscheck at UFC 95 which earned him ?Knockout of the Night? honors, but he?s more of a submission specialist. Fitch is more well-rounded, and he has stamina, as his last four fights have gone to a decision, and his one loss was against Georges St. Pierre.
Dan Henderson vs Michael Bisbing
Sportsbook Betting software has Henderson as a -300 favorite against Bisbing, and these two coached the USA and UK teams in the ?Ultimate Fighter 9?. Both of these 185-pounders like to swing for the fences, and it?ll be amazing if this goes the distance. These two are used to the bright lights, as Henderson won a split decision over Rich Franklin when he headlined UFC 93, while Bisbing took down Chris Leben in a main-event tilt at UFC 88. The winner gets the No.1 contender spot in the middleweight division, so there?ll be no lack of motivation.
Mark Coleman vs Stephan Bonnar
Coleman, who is in the UFC Hall of Fame, is a +240 underdog against the younger Bonnar, who lost to the up-and-coming Jon Jones at UFC 94. Coleman is looking to show he has something left in the tank after losing his last two matches, and some feel this is his last chance to display that he deserves another shot at a title. However, at 44 years old, some may be skeptical to make him one of their sports picks for the weekend, even though he put in a good account of himself when losing to Shogun Rua at UFC 93.
Jon Jones vs Jake O?Brien
UFC 100 odds has Jones as a -400 favorite to keep his record clean, and the 21-year-old is being touted as one of the next big things in the heavyweight division. He?s got a lot of knockout power, but he?s also great on the ground for a fighter his age. O?Brien has lost two of his last three fights, and even his win over Christian Wellisch at UFC 94 was a split decision. It?s looking like he?s just an easy target for Jones, but if he pulls it out, it?ll be one of the biggest UFC odds upsets in a while.
