Just saw it.

He's only 29. He'll probably be back. If not, that's the end of a great fighter. Powerful with both hands. Always put on a great fight. Fought everyone he should have fought, Whitaker, De La Hoya, Reid, Vargas, Hopkins.

I think his loss to Hopkins was mainly because he was stepping up to middleweight and fighting a true middleweight. He'd only had one middleweight fight previous to that (IIRC) and it was against a much lesser boxer (Joppy) than the executioner.

He was also appatently just a huge favorite among Peurto Ricans, though I hardly presume to speak for a whole country.

So long to a guy who helped make the welter-middles much more intriguing than the heavyweights for the last five years.
