Nolan:

I just read your latest Card Player column about Andrew Glazer.

Wow, Nolan, this is the best piece you've ever done, now and forever. And as someone who's read a lot of your material, that's really saying something!

I don't know how you meticulously researched so many facts about Andrew's life, but your attention to detail and respect you have for Andrew really came across to the readers.

Normally, you write about things like why you think the Broncos and Chiefs will go over 49.5 points, or something like that. This was much deeper.

I saw you once in AC and Andrew once in California. Anyway, Nolan, great column....you finest work ever.

I very much appreciate the comments. I have not seen the finished piece. I collected several quotes and suggested they be bannered around the column. Then, I wrote the text.

Interestingly enough, in all the columns I have written, this was perhaps the most difficult. I was in a hotel room at the Hard Rock in South FLorida at 3 am when the deadline was 7 am, just hours later. I pulled an all-nighter and hit the SEND button, thinking I had not done Andy the justice he desrves.

It was an emotional column to write and doesn't begin to illustrate what a fine man Andy was, and what a terrible loss this is for poker and gaming journalism.

Thanks again for the nice comments.
